The last thing an officer wants is to add more weight and bulk to their vests. The water bladder is a no-go.

As for body cameras, they should not be able to be turned off by any officer wearing it. It should turned in during roll call in & out by the CO. That will stop the "oops, the camera got turned off during bad acts." And that marker spray to identify suspects us just readily open for wrongful arrest. I have 1 word "OVER SPRAY". IF THE SUSPECT IS TARGETED IN A CROWD... WELL NEED I SAY MORE?

There's one thing wrong with ur solution though. A lot of departments don't go to the station to do "roll call" & wait to be dismissed onto the streets. They just go "on duty" over the radio when leaving the house or when they get to their designated patrol area.

@@johnbrinsfield932 If anything a dock with battery and ssd should be kept in the cruiser so when they pick up the camera it automatically turns on and when they dock it, it automatically turns off the camera and backs it up to the SSD

@@theengineer2017 Good idea with the automatic backup, its just that with their budget on spending probly wont allow for such a solution, and their daily cams battery capacity and memory is not fit for it to be on for a long time, and i know they probly wont get the budget for the solution provided by the other commentator either :(

All these license plate scanners would be illegal for cops here in Montana to use because scanning plates for no reason goes against our privacy laws. They need to have proof that you did something wrong in order to run your plate.

So where are they getting the DNA used in the spray, and how do they collect it? I think we know what kind of DNA shows up under black light. They say never take a black light into a hotel or you’ll be shocked by what you find.

🛑 MAJOR PROBLEMS 🛑 New tech is expensive to some agencies, NOT TO MENTION resistance of learning new tech to some officers (backed by a police union) There are still TO THIS VERY DAY…..police agencies fighting wearing body cams. They already complain they got too much gear on now. 🤔

This stuff is nice, but it costs money and most departments are cutting back on pay and benefits because they have no money. My depg had a fats machind, we used it twice in the 20 years i was there. Costs too mucch money to opetate and always breaking down.

@@countrymusic30 My only issue is criminal individuals are becoming, less and less fearful of cop interaction. That’s why I support a responsible armed citizen protecting themselves and others. I carry……AND wear a discrete civilian body camera (Amazon or TEMU of course) I encourage people to do the same. There are even rifle sights (I own one) with cameras on them now, that if you need to use lethal force, you can show the officers why……IN REAL TIME‼️
