I actually own a british transport police vest here in the US and made my own custom patches that say aerospace engineer, so now while working at nasa goddard space flight center im wearing a cool vest that no one has

The law has changed now, recently. It is now ILLEGAL to even own, to possess (even in your own home) an expandable baton. The grace period to turn them in has also passed as far as I am aware. You can have the old wooden ones but those modern collapsable ones are illegal to even own. I do not agree with this law but there you go. I am sharing some info with you. Feel free to ring 101 and confirm this with a police officer. Last thing you want is to get into legal trouble and a criminal record when there's video evidence that you own an expandable baton.

The baton it’s self isn’t illegal if you don’t have it in a public place, only spring ejected batons are completely illegal.

It's unlucky that you guys (uk) can't really have police written on anything. In Ireland, all law enforcement have garda, so it's not illegal to have police written on anything, as long as you're not purposely impersonating a police officer..

Just letting you know that even though your pava is a training spray and might be empty, you technically are still in possession of a section 5 firearm. I would seriously suggest handing it into a Police station. Also it is not illegal to have in your possession of a telescopic baton within your house (not in a public place) but you have committed an offence through coming into possession of it, eg buying it, receiving as a gift, importing into the UK. I realize you are young, but if you have any serious ambitions of joining the Police when you are older then I would hand in your baton/training spray for destruction because as of right now you are in commission of a serious and grave offence by having a section 5 firearm within your home address. This offence has the minimum imprisonment term of 5 years. You can phone your local Police office for advice on this.
