Agreed. How many times do we hear it said that if a car takes off with your child, you will probably never see your child alive again. She had to do anything to stop them. Even if they didn't know the child was in there (and I don't know if they did) they are responsible.

She was suppose to never leave her baby unattended in a running car alone,let's be real it was her negligence that actually caused this situation,we all know crime is everywhere and we should always be on full alert at all times,I pray he never get out.
Maybe she lived in a neighborhood that's generally safe? That's just plain rude to be blaming the mother! No she shouldn't have left her car running, but then again, we shouldn't have to put up with all these crime ridden, sticky fingered thieves, running around, acting like wild rabid animals, thinking they can take whatever the frick they want! Perhaps people should start acting a little more civilized?

NEVER, NEVER NEVER leave a child unattended in a car, not even for 30 seconds. She should have put the stuff in the car and THEN gone for her son. So sad and I hope the killers get caught.
Never and in fact due to a child in the car went back to get something from babysitter leaving the door unlocked to a running car. So devastating so sad.

30+ years ago when I was a kid my mom would leave my sister and I in her car while she ran in to grab cigarettes. My aunt was always telling her not to and one day she drove by the gas station and saw us. She got in my moms car and moved it to the side of the store and waited. It sure taught my mom a lesson. I’m almost 40 and still remember it and bc of that I never left my son in the car no matter what. Pay at the pump or we’re both going in. But I have put him in the car sleeping at a babysitters house. I think your driveway is different then a public store and we should expect some more safety there. She did what any good mother would do without hesitation. The only person at fault is the person who stole her car, kidnapped her son and ultimately took her life. Such a senseless tragedy.

@@Callidus7SSM Countries that "coddle" their convicts consistently have lower recidivism rates. Locking someone in a scary box for 6 years is counterproductive.

I used to deliver pizza for a family shop in Lynn, MA. (Lynn...Lynn...the City of Sin...You never come out...the way you went in) I started carrying a gun after a pizza delivery driver from another shop got shot in the head sitting in the parking lof of a Catholic Chruch. I quit about 2 years later, as I was moving out of the area. The local Hells Angels chapter was more proactive in protecting the community than the Lynn PD. (A copule of Brothers blocked my car in and questioned me why I was driving around the community...they thought I was a new dope dealer)

The silver lining in this dark situation is the boy was still asleep. This means he saw and heard nothing so hopefully the poor baby won't be as haunted by this memory.
It won’t. Unless all children from now on are raised in decent loving homes with parents who care and take care of them until adulthood and then they all be civil and decent. It’s never going to happen. We need to realize that.

It puts pain in my heart that baby had to wake up to knowing that he will never see his mother again. That is so traumatic, that is a child's worst nightmare and he now has to endure this pain.. This type of pain stays with you for a lifetime. This is what those sick people did. I pray for a happy, peaceful, secure life for that child
Took matters in her own hands? A criminal stole her vehicle with her child inside of it. I would think any mother, including yours and the officers, would have done the same thing. My heart goes out to the mother and the child who now will have to grow up without a mother. I hope the thief turns himself in out of guilt.

The DA is Soros funded democrat. So this is a strong indication that the suspects are not white. And they will most likely be released in 6 months if caught. Mark my words.
The neighbor is delusional. I lived near that area. There is constant crime there. Some guy pulled a gun on his nephews a couple months ago, tried to run from the police and shot himself. That was across the street from this complex. Two little kids were executed in another complex down the road when some shit heads shot up their car a couple years ago. The kids were with their mom's boyfriend. The creeps waited until all three were in the car and shot the vehicle fifty or sixty times. None of the killers have been arrested yet. Little kids dead over some dumbass gang beef. Cars are constantly getting broken into or stolen. Homes are broken into. People get jumped and robbed. Gunfire randomly happens. That whole part of town has turned to shit over the last twenty years. I feel bad for the people who can't afford to move out and are trapped with these violent assholes.

I agree. I never, ever leave it running when I am not in it (except maybe for two seconds to make sure the gasoline cap is on). But NEVER with a child in it.

Ohio has the highest percentage of executions a year. They know what they are doing, but the prosecutor has to go for Capital Murder, which I highly doubt he will get unfortunately.
