A police officer and a sheriff's deputy were shot and killed after confronting a driver who had failed to stop in upstate New York on Sunday, police said. The so-far unidentified suspect was also killed in the shootout outside his home, police said.

It isn’t the guns. As a resident that lives literally 20 minutes from where this happened, NY has THE strictest gun laws in the entire country. It’s been decades since this has happened to police in our area, whereas in some states it’s a weekly or monthly occurrence.

Omg 😪such a tragedy !!! I always said - be nice , don’t be rude to the police and they’ll be respectful to you . I personally never , ever had any issues. If I was wrong - I just said - I’m sorry , I was wrong. They’re humans too and they understand people can make mistakes.
