Sorry I’m so late commenting but I just got out on bail. They picked me up the next county over for some trumped up charge about harassing beekeepers. Catch you next time buddy.
When I saw the police picture of you in that striped prison uniform, all I could see was a big 'ol drone bee. I hope this little incident will in no way have an effect on our up coming swarm challenge competition and I hope it will serve as a constant reminder of keeping things on the up and up. By the way, I have to say, you do look good in stripes. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Thank you very much for your kind words and for watching, they are both greatly appreciated. Also, the world needs as many beekeepers as it can get, and I for one am so excited you will become one soon. God's peace Penny. Mr. Ed
The Rooster sure does care for you mr. Ed! This was an easy removal for sure. And her majesty the queen had a real big behind. I'm glad you found her and hope the hive will thrive.
We are like brothers who share a lot of the same things. I have great hopes for the success of these bees, by all accounts, they should do very well. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hi, Tammy ! And howdy to Charlie and Susan ! Good to see that there's a part of the USA where people are happy (despite the pandemic) and there's no snow. Stay healthy !!!
I think one reason for the happiness here in the south is because we have so many healthy bees and no snow...plus the food is so good as well. Stay well yourself Kevin, God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Great removal Mr Ed, glad GoodTime Charlie was able to be with you for help today. looks like the Dirt Rooster is worried about not seeing you in a while. Too funny! Keep them coming!
It's not often we get an easy one like this, but I'll happily take it. Of course it's always a great time sharing the fun with everybody. Thanks for watching. God's peace Joe. Mr. Ed
Of course all our antics are meant to be laughed at, we both have a great time poking fun at each other. I just wish the video quality of the clip he sent me was better, I wanted to see what I looked like on the Milk Bone box myself. Thanks for watching. God's peace Rachel. Mr. Ed
I always read your description as you put little nuggets in there and save me the time of a question! Glad the colony was saved! Just a thought for your new beekeeper: order a new queen now. You will want to split them early and slowly build to three colonies, which most beekeepers agree is about the minimum. That way you will have a colony to raid for brood or eggs if something happens to that beautiful queen! To have three very healthy hives by the end of a first year from a cutout would be a good target. You are always so good at these Mr. Ed, but in this one you had protection - of a sort - and a new beekeeper! Way to spread the love!
As grateful as I am for you taking the extra time to read the video description, you are in a very small group of folks that do. And, you are correct, often I do put information in there relating to updates and other pertinent information that was not shown in the video. Still, I don't have a problem answering questions that were addressed in the description. Thanks for being such a great follower of my adventures Julie. God's peace. Mr. Ed
You are very welcome Larry, it's a real pleasure for me to share all my bee wrangling adventures. Thanks so much for watching. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
I think the reason there is so much happiness here is because there are so many feral bees in Louisiana.....and the food is awesome as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace Mike. Mr. Ed
Love your vids mate, never miss any of them. Surprised that dirty rooster didn't show up to steal your queen, seems right up his alley. Much respect to you mate from Queensland Australia.
Glad to have your support and have you following along with my bee wrangling adventures. The Rooster and I love poking fun at each other, and both of us love sharing the fun. Till the next time, God's peace mate. Mr. Ed
Looks like ya’ll got the perfect weather to get a crab boil going on ❤️❤️❤️ Lived in Mississippi for 7 years and the best thing were the down home folks sharing their love for their part of the good ole US of A❤️🤍💙
I'm a bigger fan of a crawfish boil, but crabs work for me as well. I think the friendly disposition of so many folks that live in the south is due to the fact that we don't get much cold weather....and we have a lot of feral bees as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace LisaMarie. Mr. Ed
I told you on "Raining Honey" you'd have to watch that crafty Dirt Rooster. I really enjoy both of you. It's wonderful how bee keepers work together. I have a nephew I'm getting into bee keeping and I continue to suggest their local county bee club as a place to gather some great information and great friends. You and the Rooster (notice how you got top billing) are a testament to how wonderful bee keeper are! Thank you and god Bless!
I’m sorry to say that this is my first time watching y’all do what ya do. My husband thinks very highly of y’all and said y’all are well trusted by him. I love what ya do, saving bees & protecting people who don’t want them in their properties or helping others with getting set up to take the bees in! God Bless y’all. Stay safe and healthy. Respect to y’all for your respect for nature. Thank y’all for the videos
Thank you, it really is a pleasure for me to share my adventures and fun, and I'm so grateful that you follow along. Until next week, God's peace. Mr. Ed
Fun to watch your videos. Gives me the itch to get back to working my bees. We don’t really have much to do with them this time of year except keep the snow off the entrances. Just another good reason to look forward to spring. Thanks for sharing and your contagious excitement.
I feel so bad for beekeepers up north, your time spent with your bees is so short. Here in the south, our bees fly almost every single day in the winter. I'm glad my videos give you reason for the spring, I'm delighted to share my experiences. Thanks so much for watching. God's peace Carl. Mr. Ed
GM Mr. ED I AM LAUGHING SO HARD OMG THE EXPRESSIONS "She's got a big ole butt on her"! I have to admitt she really does! Love it when u get excited Mr. ED... Have a fantastic weekend ur "honey".....
I just can't help myself, when I see the size of the queens rear end, I just think about how many bees she will make in her lifetime, and this queen's butt was hugh! I hope your week will bee a good one as well Mona. God's peace. Mr. Ed
And in other news, the accused leader of trespassing operation was quoted saying, “Go ahead and put me in tiny prison cell, I've trained my girls well. They'll have a new spot taken over before I even see the judge on Monday” Back to you Tom.
Actually, they went to the weather to make sure the bees had the right conditions to adjust to their new home. Loved the comment, thank you for it and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace. Mr. Ed
Happy New Year. Great video and you found the queen. Good idea that you've expanded your security detail. You just never know who might show up. Mr. Ed on a Milk Bone box, hahahahaha!!!!!! Take care, stay safe, and God bless.
And a very Happy New Year to you and yours as well Rose Mary! One can never bee to cautious even... on a bee removal, it's always a good idea to error on the side of safety. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I Think it's Wonderful of you to help them start there own Bee Keeping. We really need these days more Kindness in helping others in anyway one can. GOD BLESS You All and I Love you as JESUS CHRIST commands us to do 💖🕆
The two greatest commands, loving God and loving our neighbor, the goals of my life. Thank you so much for your blessings and for watching. Till the next one, God's peace Sandy. Mr. Ed
Another awesome video sir. I'll definitely have to keep the stuffing escape routes off first. In mind. That's what I love about watching and posting videos. Ya never know what ya can learn from or teacher someone. Good job. Keep them coming.
RU-vid is the "go to" place for any subject you can think of. I'm happy to pass along the tips I've learned over the years. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff To let ya know. My indoor aquarium hive requeened. First couple of weeks of November here in Kentucky. Can’t say as to how well. But she is raising brood. God is good.
So happy to hear you find the videos relaxing. Thank you for your blessings and for taking the time to watch. I hope your week is a good one as well. God's peace Sharon. Mr. Ed
It is amazing how fast comb will turn brittle when the bees are not on it, especially new comb. This was a very easy removal, and it's wonderful to come across them because it does not happen very often. Thanks for watching. God's peace Bradley. Mr. Ed
I really think the presence of an officer of the law at the removal will go a long way in deterring ANY future interferences from would bee saboteurs. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hey Mr. Ed I think Dirt Rooster has been spotted giving Kamon R. a hard time in TN ..lol..You should be safe for at lest 2 more days..lol.. Love your videos God bless!!
I think his face lit up because he got stung right on his cheek. Ray, the officer, is not only a beekeeper himself, he is a subscriber to my channel, he wanted to be there and it just happened to be in his patrol area. I'll be making a visit to Ray's bee yard soon and hope to shoot a video when I go there. Keep the music flowing Ben, God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
He really was a cop, but he was assigned the detail to arrest all the robber bees. He had special hand cuffs just for it. Thanks for watching. God's peace Nicholas. Mr. Ed
So, I didn't even think of this, yet during your explanation of the goldenrod the bee's took pollen from making the yellow caps, my question ended up being: a hive can have a blend of flowers? so, it makes sense, yes? are there hives that only have specifically one type of honey? because...and here comes the gist of my question: when I go to the store and I buy "goldenrod honey" it really can't just be THAT type of honey, can it? because there are always so many bees in a hive, it nearly ALWAYS is a blend, right? This was a great removal, I pray Tammy can keep on top of it all, and have success on her new bee adventure! Thanks for sharing Jeff, it's always a joy to watch you work!! xoxoxox
In a way, it is always a "blend" of nectars/honey in a hive because the nectar source can be coming from so many different plants. However, depending on the time of year, there will almost always be a prevalent nectar source and this is why honey is labeled the particular source of nectar/honey. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and for asking your question, it was a good question. God's peace Melanie. Mr. Ed
My granddad kept bees for his apple trees and berries and his very large and productive vegetable garden and he made sure they stayed close to home all season by seeding his huge lawn with white clover to last them through the winter. All this within city limits. The flavor of the honey was very floral.
Hi Mr Ed!! 🙂 Happy new year to you and your family!! Hope you're keeping well. Love the banter between you and the rooster 😁😁 always great to have a laugh!! That queen was amazing - so big... Thanks for another great video!! Can't wait for the next one. Best wishes as always from me in Co Dublin Ireland 🤗☘️💖🇮🇪
Thank you very much Adwina, and a very Happy New Year to you and yours as well! The Rooster and I do have a bit of chemistry between us, and both of us love sharing the fun. Until the next one, God's peace. Mr. Ed
@@linedanzer4302 Sent it off yesterday, get ready for some Abbee Honey glaze sauce. My suggestion, add some Tabasco sauce for a bit of a kick. God's peace Sharon. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff I received my honey and it's delicious! You all definitely know what you're doing. I'll give adding the tabasco sauce a go. *I really appreciate the hand-written letter too! Rare nowadays!* Thanks again Mr. Ed!!
Thanks for the update on the hive and I hope they continue doing well. May this year be filled with many blessings for you and the beekeeping community. Great way to start my day and thanks for the diversion from the political craziness going on in DC. Buckle up everybody we are in for a ride as we watch the LORD do his great and awesome work in this nation to further His kingdom. May God's will be done. God Bless.
These are very gentle bees and I'm very confident they will do very well in their new location. Regardless of the mess we make of things, God's will shall prevail, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next time, God's peace Rebecca. Mr. Ed
I like the colour explanation. Golden Rod. Sometimes the colour looks gross and I dont know why. I love how happy he gets when he find the Queen. lol "Thank you Jesus!!!!" Everytime....its his catch phrase for the Queen Bee.
Here is a Tidbit for you Mr Ed and any one else into Bee Rescue, Always use a red light when recuing bees. They hate bright light on the hive and comb but a red light will keep them a lot calmer, I have a few Hot Hives and red light always works. (Hot Hives = Bees that are super quick and defensive for any one who wondering) I Mr Ed will know what I meant lol But yeah try the red light if you have to shine any thing on the bees if its dark. Thank me later if you want haha
I am very aware of the benefits of using red light, but with my age and vision, I really need the brightness of white light to see distinctly. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
And a real beekeeper as well. I will be headed to his bee yard in a few weeks and will make a video on the visit, stay tuned for that adventure. Thanks for watching. God's peace Niki. Mr. Ed
Hilarious! Great comment, and thank you so much for taking all your time to follow along with my bee wrangling adventures, it is greatly appreciated. Until the next one, God's peace. Mr. Ed
I'm surprised that as popular as you are you don't have your very own private security team. The Rooster told me you dropped in on the Tennessee Bee Convention, way to go! God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
I'm delighted to have you following along. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to watch the video. Until the next one, God's peace Sherrie. Mr. Ed
Hey Mr. Ed.. I was wondering how do I get information on some of them classes. My kid just got to meet you at the Abby a few weeks ago when he was at camp. But I would love to make it to one of your classes. Thanks and God bless
We have not held a bee meeting since Covid. Hopefully, we will start them up again vey soon, and when I do, I will announce it. Stay tuned. God's peace brother. Mr.Ed
Oh that queen sure did wait till the very last minute. I had no idea that if bees weren't using/being on comb it dries out and gets brittle. If they go back to it does it become less brittle? Sure do enjoy your videos. Your friendship with the DirtRooster keeps me in stitches.
It's very typical for the queen to show up at the very end of the removal, they have a very good natural instinct of keeping hidden. It amazes me that as brittle as the comb gets, as soon as the bees start using it, it becomes soft again. I guess they must spit in it to get it soft. Rooster and I really love sharing our antics, nothing beats a good laugh. Your stack of cards on mom's desk continues to grow higher, right now it's almost 3 inches tall. Thank you so much for your kindness toward her. Her health is declining, but she so looks forward to your correspondences. God's peace and blessings upon you and yours Stephonie. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff I know this is kind of an unusual relationship, but I love your mom so much! It has truly been a delight to write to her these past months. My husband dropped a card in the mail the other day and I just sent him out the door with the latest one.
How funny, we have a strawberry festival around here as well!! We also have an apple festival. There's so many wonderful things to buy like apple butter homemade of course, homemade cider ECT. I love these festivals they are so fun and so many delicious things, they also have honey from local beekeepers!!
I'm thinking you should write a book on the proper usage of bee terminology in the modern world, I'm sure it would bee on the New York Best Seller list within minutes of publication. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Thank you for your kind words and for discovering my channel, I'm delighted to have you following along with my bee wrangling adventures. Until the next one, God's peace Kent. Mr. Ed
He was a fan of the channel and wanted to see the removal for himself. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Alastair. Mr. Ed
That was indeed a callipygian queen Jeff. Good to see you having a good time and I think purple rather suits DirtRooster. Happy New Year to you, your nearest and dearest. God bless and see you soon.
Now that is a word I have never heard of and when I Goggled it, I busted out laughing. I'm going to use that sometime in the future to throw folks off. I just hope I pronounce it properly. Happy New Year to you and yours Elaine. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I'm not from Louisiana, but I used to live there. I lived south of New Orleans and then went to LSU for college. My parents are in Covington now retired. I feel like it's VERY Louisiana to have a police officer there to protect the queen from the people who wanted to kill the bees by tearing down the hive. 😂😂😂 Thanks for protecting the bees in SE Louisiana. I know how important the strawberry (and blueberry!) crops are to the area farms.
Next time you come to visit your parents, stop by St. Joseph Abbey where we keep our bees, I'd be delighted to show you our operation. By the way, the abbey is located in Covington. Thanks for watching. God's peace Katy. Mr. Ed
Goodness gracious !! Such a fun good video to watch with my early morning coffee. Absolutely enjoyed watching you Mr. Ed.. Susan .. Tammy and Good Time Charlie. Love how you like spreading the bee keeping hobby to others. It's good security was there to keep the DirtRooster away.... laughing. Take care and God Bless you.
So glad you enjoyed watching the video, it is a real joy for me to share all the fun we have when we wrangle bees. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Ed. Mr. Ed
Here's a ink to a video I shot last year when I was not so lucky. Thanks for watching. God's peace Brad. Mr. Ed ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K3af_-oQPUA.html
If that unfortunate event does happen, which is very rare, the queen will perish. However, once the bees have been set up, they can make another new queen, and the colony will continue on. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I know NOTHING about bees, I actually run from them. However, here i am. You popped up in my suggestions and I clicked. I was glued to this video and didn't notice my 5 year old was also watching over my shoulder. Now she's asking me to play more. Ps. What is a brew?
What a great story, and the good news is ALL my videos are family friendly so no need to worry about the content. The word is brood, not brew. Brood is the larva stage of a honey bee. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon. By the way, I post a new video every Friday. God's peace Cheryl. Mr. Ed
Respect to the Sherif haha Mr Ed is going to get all the Police interested in Keeping Bees! That is awesome Jeff! I heard if Rooster gets arrested he has insisted on being fed Honey toast and mead for breakfast dinner and supper haha Yall stay safe and have a great 2021 Habbee Wrangling and Habbee New Year!
That would bee great to have a Sheriff Office Beekeeping Squad, they could specialize in doing something about robber bees. Happy New Year to you and yours as well. God's peace. Mr. Ed
