You have the laws and the tools already. It's a federal felony offense having an automatic firearm without a special stamp for a handful of approved guns. and it's good for 10 years in prison if you get caught with one. Why not just enforce the laws?

As someone who lives near the Birmingham area, I know the majority of these shootings happen to be from a certain ethnicity. Birmingham has a lot of gun laws and it doesn't stop the violence in the inner city. I live in a neighborhood where everyone is armed with lenient gun laws and no one has been shot in this area. It is a fact that it is the culture, not the guns that is the problem.

For those not aware of what goes on with these mass shootings in the U.S here you go. Most of these mass shootings are committed by minorities in minority communities. For example, Chicago averages around 15-30 shootings every weekend. America currently stands at around 5th in the world in shootings. If you eliminated Chicago, L.A , St Louis, NY, and Philadelphia we drop to 200th in the world. So it's not a gun problem, it's a people problem.

Well the mayor blames the politicians, and the guns. Fully auto is already restricted to citizens. At the end of his comments did he identify the cause of shootings, and that was the getting the criminals all off the streets. The rest was wasted air.
