Bhai I don't know where you get this information but it's completely wrong. Helmets are not supposed to break but to protect you from one big impact the helmet after that should not be used even if it's unbroken because their structural integrity is compromised. I think. There are many situations why people never wear helmets. 1. Poverty. 2. People think its uncomfortable (which is wrong to think) 3. Many people think it triggers hairfall which again i think its a myth. 4. Carelessness. 5. Not aware of circumstances. ....... Many people wear helmets because to prevent from fines. To prevent from rain in rainy days. .... The best way to cope with these problems is: the license should be integrated in helmets with the help of technology.. And the lisence inturn should be integrated with the bike with advanced technology... Or without helmet the bike should never start...
I use ISI marked helmet always. I am from Army background and never wear cheap helmet. Besides I am not scared of Police as I myself obey traffic rules.
Me and my friends tried to break a really old halmet (steelbird i think) which has been laying outside for more than 3 years. We used an axe (big one at that). Seeing the helmets condition we thought it would break in the first try but nop every one of us hit it atleast 5 times per person and it didn't break.
the helmet that breaked was more safely because you have know that if you have accident the cheap helmet will break but the expensive helmet that doesnt break it will bounce your head and it can hurt your neck bone and cause a serious injury forever
