Glad the officer helped. Sometimes there just isn't anything else you can do. Sure technically your illegally parked but what else are you supposed to do, he was aware and made better use of his time by assisting you instead of ticketing you. Good for him. *High Five* for him lol

That was an easy offload, think one of the men on the job site could have stood out there and directed traffic for you but it was nice that the officer got behind you to make it a little more safe for everyone. Have a great day, stay safe out there.

I work for a GC in Boston and try to make drivers lives easier during deliveries to our tight sites. If you guys stop bringing the goods, no one makes any money!

There was a play zone here that had a ball pit with a automatic system that washed them at a rate of about 2 a minute and return them to the pit.

You're right about McDonald's it's not really a fun place like it was, now it's so drab and unappetizing.

My only big problem with this is the police should have made you move your whole truck onto the road and off the sidewalk because it blocks the travel path for wheelchairs.

The site workers giving zero damns about helping the delivery guy...Something I learned a long time ago is to help out the folks that deliver your material ,and any other outside folks that come tonthe jobsite. They can make things good or $hi++y for you.

Just out of curiosity why couldn’t you move the cones and pull the truck into the McDonald’s parking lot or it looks like there was a completely empty parking lot across the street pulled in there you’re lucky nobody got killed you’re not that bright, now if you were broken down there you would’ve had to lay out your DOT triangles correct? So why didn’t you at least lay out your triangles you must have them on the truck if you don’t that’s a DOT violation right there

well, the cop was somewhat useful. I bet he was actually looking for a ticket giveaway. I was moving hay bales the other day and a cop hid on a side street. he was watching though. 3 loads in a row, I saw him light someone up, after they passed me when I was turning left into my field. Another day I was stuck waiting to get out of the field, when a RCMP car through on his lights and angled across the road stopping traffic for me.

I've been watching your vids for a few weeks now. Great content! The other day there was a delivery made here at my apartment complex. They are replacing all the decks. There was 4 skids on the truck for us. I could tell the driver was unfamiliar with the Moffett. He wasn't sure what levers did what. Total unload time for him was about an hour and and a half. The one construction guy had stacked all the lumber and decking away in the storage trailer before the driver had loaded the Moffett onto his truck. This was very difficult to watch after watching your vids:)

legally you are not supposed to unload from that side if you notice where it says clear of other traffic hence not allowed to unload in a open lane of traffic Loading and unloading can be dangerous. Machinery can seriously hurt people. Heavy loads, moving or overturning vehicles and working at height can all lead to injuries or death. This guidance should be followed to help avoid problems. Loading and unloading areas should be: 1. Clear of other traffic, pedestrians and people not involved in loading or unloading. 2. Clear of overhead electric cables so there is no chance touching them, or of electricity jumping to 'earth' through machinery, loads or people. 3. Level. To maintain stability, trailers should be parked on firm level ground, 4. Loads should be spread as evenly as possible, during both loading and unloading. Uneven loads can make the vehicle or trailer unstable. 5. Loads should be secured, or arranged so that they do not slide around. Racking may help stability. 6. Safety equipment must be considered. Mechanical equipment and heavy moving loads are dangerous. o Guards or skirting plates may be necessary if there is a risk of anything being caught in machinery (for example dock levelers or vehicle tail lifts). There may be other mechanical dangers and safety procedures to be considered. 7. Ensure the vehicle or trailer has its brakes applied and all stabilizers are used. The vehicle should be as stable as possible. 8. In some workplaces it may be possible to install a harness system to protect people working at height. Provide a safe place where drivers can wait if they are not involved. Drivers should not remain in their cabs if this can be avoided. No-one should be in the loading/unloading area if they are not needed. 9. Vehicles must never be overloaded. Overloaded vehicles can become unstable, difficult to steer or be less able to brake. 10. Always check the floor or deck of the loading area before loading to make sure it is safe. Look out for debris, broken boarding, etc. 11. Loading should allow for safe unloading.

A big Tractor trailer of mat’l pulls up and nobody knows dick about it, no help, no guidance. And to top it off there’s a dude all set up with his cut station that didn’t say dick. SMFH. Nice to have Johnny Law on the scene for safety. Ppl just suck sometimes, just my 2 cents.

You should have a sign out saying men working ahead or maybe a flag guy or maybe cones!!! Something....that's crazy! Your lucky that officer stopped and actually didn't give you a ticket. You just started doing your thing hoping for the best that traffic would stop.....🤦‍♂️ it'd take 2 minutes to set a sign up and that's what could save your life...it's worth it man!
