Thank you for an excellent, informative video. It was to the point with no messing around or babbling endlessly off topic. Many RU-vid video makers could learn a lot from your video production style.
@ThunderMK11 No, the military’s “designated marksman” is not a sniper. He has neither the training, skill level, nor mission objectives (ISTAR, etc) of a sniper. Instead, the designated marksman within an infantry squad or platoon simply receives a bit of additional firearms training and then tasked with taking out targets at distances slightly further (up to 550 yards, versus 2200 yards for a sniper) than others in the squad or platoon typically focus on.
Excellent videos. I came looking for single and two point sling vids and the advantages of each. In just two videos you guys provided everything I was looking for and you presented thoughts and ideas I hadn't even considered - very well done, gentlemen. Thank you.
you need to check your term friend. a designated marksman outranges assault rifles, they use semi-automatic rifles usually that fire a bigger round with more primer behind it. a sniper doesn't neccessarily shoot his targets either seeing as a sniper usually collects intellegence to be relayed back to their command. a designated marksman is the guy on your team that takes the longer shots, and in certain situations plays a counter-sniper role.
Good job! In my review of slings, very little on the common attachment points front and rear. Most slings wrap around the weapon in some way. How about showing us attachment and use in a two point system using the sling attachments sold on the weapon?
I have the Mossberg 500 Cruiser (without a buttstock). I am interested in getting a two point sling. Could you help me with a suggestion on a particular two point sling model and the accessories/adaptors I would need? Thank you. :)
@Paintballinmike1 my comment was from the stand poijt of the politally correct way occupations are re named to be easier on the ears. the move away from the term sniper also gsve rise to the..."just shoot the gun out of his hand" mentality. anyone in a roll of looking down a scope with the intention of shooting at a distance greater than the others in your team is a sniper
