It's too good mamas. Especially these little added thoughts from Colin and Pen. I always considered that Colin is most definitely demi-sexual and he needs that emotional connection to feel full attraction to someone. It was just that last piece of the puzzle when their lips touched. It's so wild how she isn't event CONSIDERING him anymore after they kiss because to her that was giving up her hope of them ever having anything, like a goodbye to those dreams. And for HIM........my goodness me, they were the START honey :o woof.
Yaay, you uploaded another part! Now, I will go and watch it. Edit - 0:07 "wHy ARe yOu So PreTTY?" - lol 0:12 "long fingers..." - so, I will that just there then 0:17 - the dip in music,, poor Pen 0:32 - very, very sensual handshake 0:47 - Awkward Colin is my favourite Colin (or maybe one of favs); awkward Penelope is just painful 1:05 - I understand your confusion, allow me to clarify. You see when it comes to love the adjectives change to - idiotic, stupid, dense, stubborn etc. 1:25 - I can SEE their post-marriage dynamic; anytime Penelope flirts that boy is going to be a melted puddle (though I can also see the reverse where Pen will be flustered by Colin's flirting and try to flirt back) 1:46 - I know people have problems with that scene and I completely understand it. But my post superficial defense would be that's how it was in the book and that was an element for the book fans. However, for Penelope who's not yet a spinster but on the verge to be so, for her to be in that mindset with later the whole Lord Debling plot point and to get jealous Colin this broken-begging was the way to do it. And they played it so well, it really did make me cry. 1:53 "Not mean anything?" - Ooh, an interesting phrase considering Colin's relationship with physical intimacy and how it ties with his larger arc. Also, I think of him as a little demisexual boi (I can just imagine him as a modern-day teen or a little older than that and just discovering it and something clicking in his brain). 1:58 - That "what do i do" was perfect. 2:10 - "Any moment now he'd be dead." 2:11 - She really looked so lovely here. 2:20 - 👀 Psst... the texts were better placed, not too much, and easier to read. Thanks for this!
For the kiss, I’ve heard that people didn’t like that she had to beg for it, and I understand why, but people tend to forget that reality is less ideal then what we try to paint it as. Penelope is insecure and understandably so, she’s been told her whole life that she’s not enough, will never marry and will never attract etc. It’s in a vulnerable moment that she wants to experience something she never thought she could have. She didn’t want to be romantic or hold meaning. Just a physical need. A reckless move. And I do not think Colin wanted to make her beg for it, it just means a lot to kiss someone in that era. It could change their friendship which he couldn’t comprehend, he could corrupt her ( as they say). It holds a lot of power. And he touches her honor and his. So he has some resolve about it, and also he’s just so surprised he takes a moment to realize what is wanted from him.
@@inedits4991 I completely agree with you on the kiss. Am also glad you enjoyed my ramblings, I was trying to keep it brief and meme-y but my words at times tend to get away from me.
@@avantika_singh Oh I did, it's so nice you've written this much. I'm a rambler myself, and I've been enjoying all the theories on Polin ( actual deep thoughts, with actual context) because many of the reviews I've read have been annoying as they dismiss the character's personalities entirely.
@@inedits4991 I see you. I feel you. And there are times I just want to shake people and make them watch their entire story right from the first season. To just understand them more as people, and how much are they affected by and reflect in the little interactions in the periphery throughout (also, if it's too cumbersome you can let me know and I will stop, I don't know, bothering you with more replies).
