The Polish Campaign was the highlight of this game for me. I still play COD 3 monthly and St Lo, The Island, Mayenne Bridge, Laison Rivier, The Black Baron, Crossroads, The corridor of death, the Mace and Chambois are still some of the best COD missions of all time in my opinion.
Papa Jack is truly the heart of soul of the Polish story. He said "We will not lose this hill!", like he is really done with retreating from the German, not just at Hill 262, but since 1939. The saddest line has to be him saying he want to take his dead soldiers home, which we know was not gonna happen, since the Soviet Union put Poland behind the Iron Curtain.
I suppose that Papa Jack served in Polish Legions of Austrian Army during WW1 and fought against Red Army in Soviet-Polish War 1919-1921. Also he could serve in 10th Mechanized Cavalry Brigade which defended Poland in 1939 ( Battle of Jardanow and Lviv) and escaped to France through Hungary. They also defended France against Germans in 1940,but they escaped to Great Britain after the fall of France
“Now taking the Mace is one thing…Now…Now we have to hold it!” For some reason, the zoomed in camera on Papa’s face (As weird as it is) and him saying those lines…It still to this day makes me feel that: *‘Oh God…Oh no…’*
Sad that there's no PC version for this. Over all other CoD out there, I must say that this is my favourite. I don't know why, but there's a certain charm that I can't explain that makes this game so memorable, maybe it's nostalgia, idk honestly. Shout out to the sound department for this game, the theme is just pure eargasm.
@@KhanWolf95 I find call of duty games unstable on pcsx2 and I mean all of them. I highly recommend medal of honor vanguard - it runs smoothly and without crashing (at least on my pc)
Lol i still remember this chapter. I was like WTF WAS GOING ON!! ThERES ENEMY EVERYWHERE the fun part was you cam control the M4-sherman turret and you can also be the radio operator on the long range support artillery which makes the gameplay AWESOME than ever call of duty i ever played I liked and i hate this chapter ° i like because of the gameplay • i hate it. It because ITS HARD TO COMPLETE and also am VERY CONFUSE wheres my enemies and my teamamtes But yea its fun good old days not gonna lie
The mg 34 was not dakka enough, a bit of disappointment back then but the unique aiming system was interesting Edit : i like how the tank crew were more like optimistic group since they are the only one who still smiling while going to battle
With COD getting bought out maybe we'll finally see some of the older games get remastered or even remade. Considering COD 3 was only in development for 8 months I think it deserves a remaster or a remake.
@@rkadi6540 For Vanguard's singleplayer try C-47s with D-Day markings flying over 1945 Berlin in its final hours of Soviet take over, standing in for Soviet bombers.
@@loyalpiper That was the overall opinion back then, but it is considered good now because of other games, I Hope the same situation will happen to another great game "Assassin's Creed Valhalla", because it is also considered as bad now, but it is an awesome game, and I Hope that Ubisoft will make some trash games and people will start praising that game just like CoD3 here.
I honestly don't get why people hate this game, this was the first ever game I played on the old 360 and I loved it, multilayer was wacky as hell and I couldn't get enough.
I just read the reviews on this game and 2 people gave this game 1 star and said it was unfinished, the character models were bad, as well as the cutscenes and gun models. 1) this game was finished in under a year and is still 10x more complete than the trash we’re handed today. 2) The gun models and character models were way ahead of it’s time. 3) There was actual character development, (the reviewers said that they were boring), and you felt like you were apart of them, especially the polish tank crew. How are you gonna review a 2006 game and treat it like it’s a 2021 game.
They are probably soldiers in exile fleeing to UK after fall of Poland. They were trained by the British to drive and shoot tanks then form an armoured division to participate in battle of France just like in this video. That is what I think. I don't even know they're Polish when I played this game as a child. Just learned it recently.
@@williamangga6164 More or less you're right. However, a lot of soldiers (including division's commander gen. Maczek), were in tank units back in September 1939.
