We're celebrating International Mother Language Day. Monika from Herne Bay Library reads a story for us in her mother language, #Polish! We're reading Jill and the Beanstalk today, with kind permission from publishers Mantra Lingua.
We recognise the importance of children reading and listening to stories in their mother language as it improves their reading and writing skills in other languages too. A child's mother language also helps them to shape their emotions and thoughts.
Kent Libraries have dual language books in various languages. These are free to reserve and collect from your chosen library on a child's library card and free to borrow! Visit your local library or Ask A Kent Librarian to help you take a look on our catalogue kent.gov.uk/li...
