Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz & High Gloss - WaxMode Review

This is an overview of Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz and High Gloss spray sealants. At $70 for 200ml each, these are some of the most expensive spray sealants in the enthusiast market. However, the ease of use, performance, and usability combine together to make them some of my favorite products I've used in my arsenal. After owning and testing so many different products, I find myself reaching for these two spray sealants the most. This can be applied to all exterior surfaces, it works on paint, glass, chrome, and trim without issues. They can be used as a standalone paint protectant, or on top of a wide variety of different coatings as toppers. Expected durability is 3-6 months.
Both Cosmic Spritz and High Gloss are very similar in feel and features, however Cosmic Spritz contains a higher concentration of silica (sio2) with a focus on durability, and High Gloss contains a higher concentration of titania (tio2), with a focus on gloss and depth. Application is the same for both products, spray directly on the surface and wipe in with a microfiber towel, or you can also use an applicator to apply to the paint and wiped off with a microfiber. 24 hours is the recommended cure period prior to the paint getting wet, and they recommend 1 hour cure before adding an additional layer or application. Make sure you shake really well prior to use.

I used high gloss for the first time and was very happy with the results. A better look than bead maker or anything else I’ve used and without being a dust magnet. I used this as a topper to Angelwax The 5th Element. Also high gloss does have chunks that can clog up. Running the bottle under warm water and shaking helped.

Polish Angel is at the top of my list for new products to try out. As you say here....their products are more for enthusiasts due to the high price. But as they say....."You get what you pay for!" And that seems to be the case with Polish Angel products. Yes...cost is a factor for most people. But Polish Angel seems to use the highest quality ingredients in their products and when you use them, they give QUALITY results. Every review I have ever seen of Polish Angel products has been absolutely positive.

It's crazy how smooth they are to apply and remove, such an enjoyable pair of products to work with. If you pick any of these up, I recommend setting aside some specific microfibers for applying and removing, they can stain the towel and can clump the fibers up unless you wash them shortly after use. Similar to how Sonax BSD reacts to microfibers. I didn't notice marring afterwards by reusing towels that I didn't wash right away but just be aware it can happen. Dang I wish these were less expensive, I would order a ton.

I wish Polish Angel or someone else can figure out how to replicate this type of formula at a much cheaper price. I can't remember if I mentioned it in this video, it's like if Mothers perfected how CMX applied to the paint, that's what Cosmic Spritz and High Gloss feel like. Just for $40 more for much less in the bottle, ARGH! Fun products to work with for sure.

illestFlavor CMX feels somewhat close to Polish Angel, more watered down and less refined, but same sio2 and tio2 blended concept. I really wanted to see more staying power with CMX, it loses that insane hydrophobics faster compared to others but when used on a regular basis it’s not a bad product. BSD is still a knockout product, all the guys overseas are getting it for pennies, smells fantastic. When I get back to all of my testing gear I’m going to pull Fusso back out for further testing.

@@WaxMode For sure, BSD and CMX are pretty much identical. Have both on test cars going 3 months strong on daily drivers. Although, im not a big fan of these chemical tests trying to break down products. I am still very happy with them all regardless. Andres Rivera Difficult to tell for sure. But I always have guys coming back to me saying that the gloss they’ve seen from various products is the best they’ve ever seen their paint look. I have no preference whatsoever to a particular look, but if the glossmeter is able to depict different gloss measurements in the short term for different products, it could account for the different look that people are noticing in the paint.

In my experience with these products if you take off the sprayer and pour a little in a MF towel and rub in in, it will really last. Those clumps that are in the liquid are loaded with protective properties that amps up the strength of the product.

From a value perspective, I can’t say it’s worth the cost they’re charging for Cosmic Spritz and High Gloss. But from an enthusiast perspective, one or the other is worth trying out. We got my wife a 2022 alfa romeo stelvio 2 weeks ago. On day 1 I did a full chemical and mechanical decon, and applied a coat of Gyeon can coat with a coat of the last coat 2 on top. The depth looked good, but my wife would be willing to sacrifice some depth for more shine. If we do 2 coats of this will we get a full 90 days, and will there be more shine than last coat over can coat? Thanks
@WaxMode
@WaxMode 2 года назад
Gyeon Can Coat is closer to coating territory compared to other products, so I would tend to avoid TLCv2 on top because TLC is a heavy spray sealant that doesn't quite match Can Coat's hydrophobic potential, it can have a tendency to possibly reduce performance of Can Coat. I would first try out Gyeon Quick Detailer as an option to see if that would bump the gloss up above TLCv2. Jon at Forensic Detailing has done multiple gloss measurement tests with the blue Gyeon Quick Detailer and it has performed highly in those tests. Another option could be the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer but I have less experience with that. The Quick Detailer is less heavy compared to TLCv2, which makes it less likely to stunt the performance of Can Coat. If the blue Gyeon Quick Detailer isn't giving you what you're looking for, then you could move up to Polish Angel High Gloss which should pair well with Can Coat in terms of compatibility, but it's a costly experiement that still might not give you the look you want depending on the type of paint and color that the Stelvio has. A lot of times it can take experiementing with various toppers on your specific paint to try and get that perfect look that might not work as well on other types of paint and colors.

@WaxMode
@WaxMode 5 лет назад
Once you conquer white paint with a polisher there’s a lot of products that will really get the job done. Black paint can be possibly enhanced with darker coatings that are usually heavier, or products that are more oily in nature to bring out some depth, white looks good to me no matter what I’m using after I polish it out well. High Gloss should look awesome on white.

Sometimes, I usually have a main product for protection, and then I’ll use various products for maintenance. Polish Angel is universally a great topper for anything, even coatings. And they are very unique with their formula, nothing else really goes on quite like them. Gyeon’s Quick Detailer is a great product for regular maintenance. Ceramic Detailer I’ve used it a few times with good results but haven’t seen how it holds up after a wash. I would not apply a sealant and then immediately top it with a wax right afterwards. If anything, I would wait a few weeks and then start thinking about a topper if I wanted one.
