Ammolite is an organic gemstone with beautiful opalescence and iridescence. It's formed from Aragonites inside the fossilized shells of Ammonites which were a type of marine mollusks that became extinct around 65 million years ago. Ammolite is mainly found along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains in Canada.
