Just love following you and your talent.! You are so genuine! Prayers for you to escape Covid as you substitute for your coworker with Covid. I know....you are exposed everyday with your job but extra prayers for tomorrow.
Gorgeous cards. I learned something else new from you today. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing. Crafting love and hugs to you. Hang in there at work.
Gorgeous cards. This is a new technique for me, will try it soon. I hope your day goes smoothly and your co-worker is recovering. Take care of yourself. 😊
Amazing cards! This will be so fun to try. Both colors are great. Hope your day goes well at work tomorrow. Thanks for doing your video even thou you have to work. Two of my adult kids have COVID and can’t wait until they test negative to get back to normal life. Thanks for sharing. 🌻🌻🌻❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much Karen! They might not test negative for a while. You can test positive up to 90 days after having it. The CDC says you only have to quarantine 5 days now from start of symptoms.
Cards are gorgeous!! I love this stamp set. Well, you didn't have to spank ole Stella tonite. LOL.. Have a good day tomorrow even though it was ur day off. TYFS!!! Be blessed!!! ❤
Thanks so much Brenda! I tried the wink of Stella but it doesn’t dry on that paper. It just smears. I ended up finding coverage so I do get the day off!! Good thing because I barely slept last night. Too much going on in my head. This new job is stressful.
Beautiful cards...I have always loved the polished stone technique. I hope your day tomorrow is uneventful - as uneventful as it can be in the midst of COVID. I hope your co-workers case is mild and that you stay safe.
Don't know how you keep coming up with such amazing creations. Each one is more beautiful. Sure wish I lived in your area! An in person class would be wonderful.
HAPPY HUMP DAY, Lisa! Watching the replay this morn w/my coffee! :-))). WOWEE, GIRL! These cards are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! I am SO HAPPY you tried this w/the PEARL PAPER! I also appreciate your sharing your “bloopers” of sorts, too, and explaining what happened! That is so helpful!!! :-))) I LOVE THE CALMING CAMELLIA SET~~~MINE is on its way! WOOHOO! :-)) I LOVE BOTH of your designs but am partial to the BOOK BINDING card which is one of my FAVORITE Folds! :-))). I also like that there are NO SENTIMENTS ON THE FRONT so the BEAUTY OF THE DESIGN gets to be the FULL STAR! The cards are so pretty they don’t need a sentiment on the front……and they can be used for ANY Occasion w/stamping or a hand-written message on the inside! BTW, I LOVE when you do something on the inside, too! :-)). You know me, I’d also stamp the envelopes! :-)) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Lisa, for experimenting and sharing this WONDERFUL TECHNIQUE with us!!! HAPPY STAMPIN’ & CREATIN’!! Sending BIG SMILES from a very cold (only to get to 7 degrees here today) Madison, WI!! :-)))))))))). Hope your WED goes well at work and isn’t too frustrating! Take care n’ STAY WELL! More SMILES! :-)))))))))))
Hey Judith! Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments. It was fun playing with that paper but it took me almost all day to come up with those cards. Lol! I kept trying everything to come out with that effect, but a lot of things just we’re not staying and were rubbing off. I love that stamp set. I wish they would make it a regular set. It makes me mad they keep doing these great saleabration sets and they’re only around for a couple months. This one and the dahlia sets from last saleabration are probably two of my favorite stamp sets ever. It is cold here today too! It’s snowing right now and it is 32°. It was raining and then sleeting and now snowing so we’ll have ice under there tomorrow when I have to go to work. I’m dreading getting up in the morning. I just hope you don’t get too much. Have a great day and I’ll see you again Saturday.
Hello again Lisa from Canada. 👋🇨🇦 Those cards are stunning! 😍 It was nice to hear your wonderful laugh even though you had a crappy day. I hope that you week gets better. 🙂
Your cards are beautiful, always looking forward to seeing your projects, even if you have a bad day, I totally enjoy your stories and Of course your cards, inspiring!
Thanks so much Sue! I like to show everyone that it does take a lot of practice to come up with the final project. And it saves people from doing the same mistakes I made. Lol!
Thanks so much Jilli! I just subscribed to your channel yesterday! I love your camellia cards. I just wish you had shown how you colored them with the blends. I tried coloring them but yours came out so much better. Lol!
@@stampingwithlisa thanks for the feedback. I have a video, one of my first videos showing coloring ideas. I probably should revisit that topic. Looking at stats (I’m sure you do too), I lose viewers if I take too long. I’ll do a bit of coloring in my upcoming additions. 🥰
I try to keep mine around 25-30 min but I think people really like to see how you do the technique part of the card. I would love to see how you colored those flowers. Maybe if you just colored one flower and then have one finished. It’s so pretty. I’ll go check out the other video too. I love your name too. I am all about the bling and sparkle on my cards. 😁
Yes. Stamping sisters. 😁❤️. I love coloring too but I’m definitely not as talented as you. I think I just try to go fast and get a little carried away.
Lisa your cards are always so beautiful. You give great instructions. I had never seen that technique with the cotton ball and alcohol so will definitely have to try it. I love that you show your test examples so we know what works and what doesn’t. Love both cards but purple one if my favorite. 🥰
Thanks so much Luanne!! I’m so glad you liked them. The purple one really came out great. It’s so funny that I didn’t even use purple to make it. The pink and blue make a gorgeous color.
Beautiful card! Love that Mother of Pearl paper! Had not seen anyone using it either and wondered how you'd use it! These cards are just beautiful! Thank you!!
Watching the replay a little late, it's after midnight. The cards are so beautiful and the colors are perfect. You always make the most stunning cards Lisa. Looks like I will be ordering some Mother of Pearl paper. Thank you.
These are beautiful. Here is a little tip on your Stazon ink. Put a couple glue dots on that plastic insert and adhere it to the lid inside. Then it won’t flop out and go everywhere 😊
Amazing cards! You are definitely getting a lot of use from this set, I am getting lots of ideas for using mine! Have a good day tomorrow even though your plans are spoiled, thanks for all you do!
OMG, you are killing me with this stamp set! I must have it, how, how, how can I get it! I wish I could work some shifts for you or lived closer so I could borrow it!!! So beautiful!!!
Thanks so much Mardi!! Just get a couple friends to order with you and you can be the hostess. I’ll give you a code for you and your friends if you want.
Lisa, "Love it, love it, Love it!" Wow the Cards are Gorgeous. Beautiful technique! How do get these wonderful ideas. That stamp set is a must to have! Thank you so much for sharing and teaching us all about your great ideas, Miss Lisa. You are so awesome. May God Bless and keep in his glorious hands, my friend. Hang in there, it work! You are so positive! 👍😍💘, Maria
Thanks so much Maria!! Sometimes I think I’m running out of ideas and it takes me hours to make one card and other days thru just come to me. Have a great day! ❤️❤️
I tried that but it got all mucky and took way longer to dry. I also tried the stampin blends directly on the paper and spraying. I didn’t like that either.
Love them 💞 Love them 💕 These cards are so beautiful! I haven't received the pearl paper yet but I'll make these cards with it first. I can also Imagine this technique with other stamps (dahlias!!)
Thanks so much Anja!! You are always so sweet! If you have the glossy white card stock you could do this technique and then put a little bit of shimmer paint or wink of Stella on it to give it that shimmer. Yes I think other flowers would work really well too! Have a great weekend!❤️❤️
Hi Lisa, just love this technique on the cards, I have this stamp so will see if I can make one, so pretty. I hope on the next live it doesn’t keep freezing on me...stay safe at work, so sorry that you have to work. Blessings from Bedford, Nova Scotia 🥰🇨🇦
🎶LOVE IT🎶 All that gorgeous sparkle. Yes, I could see it even with color on it. Do you have to use Momento or Stazon on it, or can you stamp with our water based ink after doing the alcohol ink technique on that particular cs? Stunning! Well, haven't been up long...been very tired come nighttime lately, so I haven't stayed up very late, and now I have to have my coffee. Have a wonderful weekend. Hope work isn't too awful busy, and I'll see you Sat night or after Church Sunday if I'm too tired to stay up Sat night. Sometimes your videos don't show up until 10:00 or 10:30 so I'm not always awake to see them. But eventually I'll catch them. Hugs! 💖
Hey Denise! You have to use stazon or a permanent ink. The water based inks don’t really dry that well so the stazon is definitely a must. I think alcohol inks would work better for this paper but we don’t carry them. I might have to get some though.
I tried the 91% alcohol with the Stampin blends, but it seemed to take off some of the shimmer of the paper and I didn’t like that effect. It almost took the shine away from it. I’ll try it again to see what happens.
Absolutely beautiful, Lisa. I do have the pearl paper, I will be trying this technique. I know this isn't a Stampin Up product, but I have a lot of alcohol inks, may try that. What do you think?
Lovely cards! Does the 'polished' ink continue to fade as time goes on? Thanks for using this paper. I got a pack but didn't think about using Stazon rather than Memento. Great tip!
Ok lisa, what is your secret to setting this technique? I blotted and let it dry overnight under a fan and the next day blotted again and used hair spray. Still have little inky fingers...lol Beyond gorgeous but maybe a different spray fixative? I may try it with alchohol inks next time.
Hey Jude, I just let it air dry. I patted it with the cotton ball and then let it air dry til the next day and it was fine. I'm sure alcohol ink would work better but Stampin Up doesn't have them so I didn't use them. I didn't use any fixative at all.
