hello is wet polishing alabaster safe given its tendency to get dull when it comes to contact with water?

I just recently purchased alabaster and interested in the grain you're using but i will be doing it by hand. Great work!

With wet/dry sandpaper, I start with 100 grit, then 150 grit, 400 grit, 800 grit, and 1,200 grit. Then apply a liquid polish (Akimi 2012). Good luck with your carving.
