thank you for having these available, blast from the past and proof of things that have and have not changed, plus commentary that many have no awareness of , thanks!
Having John O'Sullivan, editor of National Review, an advisor and speech writer for Margaret Thatcher, sitting next to Roseanne is epically hilarious to me.
I like that they are talking about timeless subjects. This is a talk show I can appreciate even today. I also like Real Time, but I don't think people will want to watch them years down the road as much as Politically Incorrect.
Good thing she didn't have Ambien before this interview. But seriously, I thought her opinions here were very relevant and inspiring in today's climate. The subject of the joke should be the system that creates the victim. That's Mel Brooks's stance as well; he'll make fun of Nazis, but not the Holocaust.
calling manners “white” or “rich” is simply saying that people who dont fall into either classification, don’t possess the trait. how is it “white” or “rich” to have manners? my minority friends treat their parents much better than my white friends do, there is a lot more respect and tradition in my mexican friend’s home life than there is in any of my white friends. I think the manners and wealth correlation is low, because people who aren’t well off are more likely to show gratitude, while wealthy people are likely to be or feel entitled to whatever they desire.
I love it when he says "America could be the school yard bully, be it doesn't and it's government never gets any credit for it". Another good one is when Matt Lauer says "Who in there right mind wants a fair fight on the battle". I say let's be like Ronald Reagon and Richard Nixon and let's go KICK SOME ASS.
Roseanne comes across on this as a bratty teenager. She isn't clued up enough to make a lot of statements she makes here. Many of her arguments are naive.
