I used to really enjoy watching this show back in the day because it was entertaining but Bill's problem has always been that he uses hyperbole and anecdotal arguments rather than facts. Just because Osmond had issues after giving birth does not mean everyone does. Also, if women could not perform physically or mentally, why don't we give them more time off after child birth. Corporations sure like to have their new mother workers back on the assembly line ASAP so why couldn't a mayor work while nursing a newborn. I am pretty sure she could schedule her public appearances around the nursing schedule, or vice versa.
Right, and Bill pretending that being a politician is somehow harder to accomplish for pregnant woman than a labor job...something physically taxing and time consuming. They have 50 people working underneath them.
jessica naranjo real time with bill maher is awful. The only good parts are the guests. His jokes are jay lenno awful and he just pauses and waits for a grand long applause after each joke with loaded one sided heavy audience who has to cheer after every sentence which literally takes up more then half the show
i think its unfair to compare the two.politically incorrect ran like 5 days a week, was much less scripted and rehearsed, lower budget, less people involved in making it...also had more pop culture type guests as opposed to career politicians and experts in their respective fields....just a different feel altogether
"“What, then, is our education? Or is it hard to find a better than that which long time has discovered? Which is, I suppose, gymnastics for the body and for the soul music.” “It is.” “And shall we not begin education in music earlier than in gymnastics?” “Of course.”" [The Republic, Plato, Book 2] "Classical (Pavlovian) conditioning can be done with earthworms, and operant (Skinnerian) conditioning can be conducted on rats and pigeons. But there is a third level of learning that pretty much only primates and humans are capable of, and that is what is called social learning. This third level of learning, in its most powerful form, revolves primarily around the observation and imitation of a role model. Unlike operant conditioning, in social learning it is not essential that the learner be directly reinforced in order for learning to take place. What is important in social learning is to understand the characteristics that can lead to the selection of a specific individual as a role model. The processes that make someone a desirable role model include: • Vicarious reinforcement. You see the role model being reinforced in a manner that you can experience vicariously. • Similarity to the learner. You perceive that the role model has a key trait that makes him/her similar to you. • Social power. The role model has the power to reward (but does not necessarily do so). • Status envy. You envy the role model's receipt of rewards from others." [On Killing, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, 2009, Chapter 4]
Because I'm a big fan of hers. And most of all I cared about Jane because she won an Emmy and Golden Globe Award. And now she and ex-husband James Keach were running an indie production company, Catfish Studios. Together, they're making a series of projects, including 1991's The Super at Warner Bros under Time Warner with Geffen Pictures under Seagram and RCM's Intermedia Films. Under Rod Daniel's deft direction, this was a real follow-up to 1983's box office hit, Risky Business - which was also filmed in Chicago.
