And she believes they just became filthy rich through so much honest and hard work and imran khan took a watch legally so he doesn't know how to run the country. These people took from pakistan and ran as soon as they were out of power. Imran khan made a cancer hospital sorry hospitals before ever being in power. And sold everything he owned and brought everything back to pakistan. She hates ik for being with the establishment but loves these people who have gone back to the establishment after being used by them over and over again. Ik came through them but then refused to allow them to run the country they way they wanted and now is in jail just because of that. It was very easy for him to just loot pakistan and allow them to do whatever they wanted, and he would still be pm without any issues, exactly what pdm is doing. And has done for the last 18 months and every other term they had before this.
@Newshooter11

To @Tiamat.J : why do you close your eyes to Bilawal, Zardari and NS’s corruption? And their bad governance? How much has Sindh progressed in the last 30 years of Zardari Bilawal rule? Where have the progressive values been applied in that region? When you talk about them you look at their progressive values and give them the benefit of doubt where their corruption and bad governance is concerned. But you do not give a millimeter of a benefit of doubt to Imran Khan. I am sorry but I dont understand your and the host and the guest’s petty hatred towards IK! Trust me Mr. host, his followers are progressives and moderates and feminists as well. I myself am simply not a religious person and did not believe in IK earlier, but now I think he is much better than these progressive farces that you have always given benefit of the doubt to. They are just upholders of the system that can make them rich but keep the status quo in the country!

@@Newshooter11 iffat found the PPP leaders et al admirable. Never once did i imply that Zardari and his crotch goblin have any redeeming quality. As a liberal Pakistani who holds progressive mindset I do think Imran Khan did a lot of mistakes in his tenure but unfortunately all of PDM and our beloved protectors did much worst, you can't fairly justify Imran Khan's mistakes with their blunders. One reason why overseas Pakistanis supported Ik or will support anyone new, is all because their eyes are wide open and are very much aware how our politicians fool us in the name of vote. Lastly two things I will never forget which PDM did was, objecting the electronic voting machine, which apparently is used even in Bangladesh and lastly why did they all kick IK if they now talk about Political Instability (we all know why). Edit: Well I do support and relate to Iffat in a lot of ways but honestly no one in Pakistani Politics is clean.

The reason the government that is part of the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) is being criticized is because they have been in power for the past 30 years, with the exception of a few years when other governments came into power. The comparison isn't being made on a like-to-like basis. Many well-educated individuals have been in power during these 30 years. If we look at what they have achieved for Pakistan during this time, it is evident that if the country's current state is in turmoil, it didn't happen in just the last 3 years; it's been deteriorating over the past 30 years. Let's look at what has been done in the field of education over the past 30 years. When it comes to infrastructure, the focus seems to be on projects like the Metro, but what about other crucial issues? Karachi, as the economic hub of Pakistan, has seen its conditions worsen, with more slums and inadequate access to clean drinking water in the past 30 years. Air quality hasn't improved in the last 30 years either. During Imran Khan's government, we also had to deal with the challenges posed by COVID-19. Tthe same old system persisted, which cannot be completely overhauled in just 5 years. To move forward, we must honestly assess whether Pakistan has progressed or regressed and compare it appropriately. Criticizing Imran Khan is not an issue, but unfairly blaming him for all problems is not fair.

For Iffat, I am not Pakistani, though but I am listening to you to increase the threshold of my patience. You live in a cuckoo world, an economically rich class will favour Zardaris & Sharifs, not surprised. You may not like IK in his role and that's your choice to have right on but there is no comparison between him and zardaris and sheriff. Carry on living blindfolded; females with empty heads indulge in feminism, just to be tagged as foolish elite. Feel the pain of people and children sleeping empty stomach. By the way I are you not aware of Zardaris machoism towards his wife!!! Where is feminism???

Was Zardari not a Mr 10%? Did NS provide proofs for his income? Did they exonerate themselves in the cases against them? Did the PDM not eradicate NAB cases against them without proofs by just trying to change NAB laws, the first chance they got? Were they not sitting in the laps of you know who as well? Did they correct all the economic problems that they claimed they could because they had expertise? She is either obtuse or gullible or mad that IK was not attracted towards her. Meet Iffat Umar an actress, model and host. She is one of my favourites in Pakistan’s showbiz and she achieved success in 80s and 90s. She is beauty with brain and extremely pleasant in conversation. The best thing I like in her for she has transformed herself ideologically and made herself critical of social and political issues. It’s very difficult for a showbiz artist to speak against and to not prefer silence and neutrality over wrong things happening in Pakistani society but she dares to speak against right wing mentality, fascist mindset and more importantly toxic patriarchy. Moreover, being the its part, Iffat seems a bit cynical and pessimistic regarding Pakistan’s showbiz industry for it’s not up to mark and failed to reflect real and genuine stories of the society. She is critical of Pakistan’s showbiz industry for many other reasons as well. Her liberal and nonconformist attitude and views made her detached from the industry because she seemed misfit there. Hats off to you! Long live! You are an iron lady! You are beauty with brain! Keep enlightening the masses! You are an asset! Love you! Nouman Azad

How being woke is helping any country? I would like to see one example. US has a crumbling Economy, a high crime spree in all Democrat cities, Europe has high crimes, stagnant economies and an imploding society all along. Pakistanis are not woke at all. This is one thing they should never try. They already have more fundamental issues to sort out. Basic regard to human rights, rule of law, good education will be a good start. And peace gives dividends in neighbourhood as well as own house.

The day famous pak Athiests would be successful in their respective fields and allowed to do their business openly. Then only there will remain hope for secularism. Recently in India biggest conference for Athiests in South Asia happened. Pak has lots of Athiests but I have not seen a single Athiest living inside pakistan who is celebrity or politician. In India we literally had & have Chief ministers and big shot politicians who are openly Athiests. Movie actors, writers, directors and they are earning in millions of dollars money. So that level of acceptance should be there. Otherwise there will be really difficulties for your society's scientific temper to grow.

Well done Shehzad - i love when you usually pushback on points. But i believe you should have pushed back on the fact that 99.99 % of harassment cases are true. Nothing against women but what about Men who are wrongly accused, How bout 80% ? That still sounds fair but 99.99?? Thats a bit harsh IMO Also there is a difference between a bad date, and a Man who uses his power and influence to make or break a career of a woman. So not every story should be used to cancel someone - before even convicted of the crime - what should be promoted is instead of coming out with the story on twitter one should first file a case in court

1:28:18 I can't believe she spent the whole podcast going on about facts and truth and be informed. And she literally said nawaz sharif fixed the load shedding of Pakistan, when the truth is that the expensive imported coal plants he installed and agreed to pay for them in usd even if they are not used are the biggest loss of dollars for our country. We use 22000mwh for the country and he installed 45000mwh which are not even used and we are paying for them for no reason, clearly shows how well informed she is. She knew about imran selling a watch but was ignorant to the fact that everyone in pdm has taken 10 times more stuff from that same Toshakhana. Thank you for pushing back on that. And she literally believes that the country went bankrupt in the past 30 years and the political leaders in those 30 years are billionaires even though their salary for 30 years couldn't even make them millionaires. There is a limit of being ignorant or maybe like she kept on repeating this statement so I'll say it for her. She has made her own 1.5 inch ki masjid and she lives in that masjid. People can't pay their bills because of these 18 months, ik came in power through them, these people are literally in bed with those people. What a disappointment
@ThePakistanExperience
@ThePakistanExperience 9 месяцев назад
I disagree Ahsan, you're not taking into account that energy was Pakistan's central problem and PMLN did fix that. You build power capacity for your future needs, if the Establishment had not derailed Pakistan's, our market would have grown into the excess capacity. B) Criticize IPPs all you want, truth is nobody was investing in Pakistan them and after them everyone was looking to invest in Pakistan till the political instability hit. C) she's right about TK. IK used it as a profit making venture rather than simply just keeping gifts. You can look at the numbers yourself: factfocus.com/politics/2895/
@ahsanamir3491
@ahsanamir3491 9 месяцев назад
@@ThePakistanExperience agreed. But he should have installed plants which took local coal not imported coal. Plus agreeing to such stupid terms and thst to in usd is only for kickbacks. The world is moving to solar and has been since the past decade. Instead of investing in that nawaz choose to do what gave him the most options for kickbacks. And you can ask any economist he will tell you these plants were set at ridiculous terms. And if you compare the Toshakhana list imran has taken pennies compared to what the pdm has taken in the past 25 to 30 years. Ik increased the minimum to 50% from 20%, and he was not under any pressure to do that. Plus the health card was a very good scheme which the pdm has tried it's best to shut down and Maybe already has shut it down, because I'm from the same city as you and Sindh never got the health card thanks to the intellectual Bilawal and zardari. You can keep praising them just for the 18th ammendment, which they did for themselves because if they did it for the country then power should have been spread to local leaders and mayors of cities in Sindh should have Authority to fix their cities, but the ppp just passed it for their own gain because they knew they could only win Sindh. You can lie to me or yourself as much as you want. But if you think being in power for 3.5 years out of 75 years and those 3.5 years were with 2.5 years of covid a world wide pandemic plus a commodity super cycle, is the reason for this country's condition today your just being dishonest.
@ahsanamir3491
@ahsanamir3491 9 месяцев назад
@@ThePakistanExperience and our market would have grown with what. What do we produce, what have we ever produced and exported to earn enough to just pay the interest for all the loans we have taken. What growth are you talking about. Everytime this country has money it's from another country using us as their army for a war. We have never produced anything. We haven't made a single car engine in 75 years. What growth are you talking about. Please don't give useless excuses to justify these awful and useless power plants plus the terms they were set on knowing the condition and capabilities of Pakistan were just so that they could win the next election. This was not a long term idea.for gods sake. If the plant worked on local coal I could still give you the benifit of doubt but they can only run on imported coal and have been shut 95% of the time because we never used them but have been paying for them since 2016, and that is the reason you and I who actually pay their electricity bill are suffering today. People have been given bills which are more then the whole salary they earn. He could have easily made 44000mwh with renewable energy projects, we would never have to pay for them after installation and would not be at the current situation.
