Lester is the greatest in spontaneous melodic Invention and avoiding Clichees, Phrases Licks, however you may call it- Therefore he is so different from all the other famous Players.

He was/is amazing.. he and Stan Getz are the gods of sax playing

Pres is probably the only cat in jazz that can play a tune being awfully sharp THE WHOLE TIME and still sound wonderful.
