Vote for Osborne, Fisher hasn't done anything for the people in Nebraska while in Congress. Fisher gets her money from lobbyist she supports in Washington and they aren't for the benefit of Nebraska
The bashing of 'career politicians' needs to stop. There are plenty of good people who have dedicated their lives to public service. I want experienced people running the show who understand the ins and outs of government, rather than performative clown-shows like MTG who seemingly only work to generate sound bites for FOX and Twitter.. What I don't understand about this knee-jerk position is what's expected of politicians after a decade or so? would you rather they cash in and take jobs with lobbyists? since by then they know the ropes and can use their knowledge to influence on behalf of the highest bidder? or instead use their experience to navigate the bureaucracy more efficiently and effectively on behalf of constituents.. It's all so dumb .... such a uniquely American position, thank Fox News for poisoning the well of discourse. And for what it's worth, I'm not a bright eyed idealist -- I'm quite aware of the corruption that runs rampant amongst US Congresspersons and Senators. Take a look at their donors and you'll see who they're working for -- sadly it's only the progressive end of the Dems that comes out clean on that check.
@@yesyesnonono Is there any way to see the voting record of Deb Fischer? Oh, yes. It's called the Congressional Record. There is a reason why some 'career politicians' have lost credibility, and it comes down to what they say and how they vote. The Congressional Record is open for everyone to see, is completely unbiased as it is a verbatim record of everything said in the House and Senate Chambers, along with the actual votes tallied in Session. Taking a look at Deb Fischer's record, I have to honestly say that Ms Fischer hasn't really voted in the interest of her constituents.
just because they are a veteran does not mean they are qualified for the job. never vote for a person because of their military service or lack thereof. nor their religion or lack thereof. look at their qualifications. do your research. they are asking to be hired to represent ALL of their constituents. not just vets, religious, single, married etc. ALL of them. Do they qualify to represent all of them?
@@raygunner2437 They are a double edged blade and shouldn't be used for stupid populism unless a disaster is desired. Ideally, trade ought to be complementary.
@@raygunner2437 Trump wants to increase sales tax and price of goods to support the 1% Republican Donors who brought us inflation, and high food and gas prices for greedy profit.
@@didgeridooblue Happens to most there, i suppose. Money out of politics is the most pressing concern imo, but i wouldn't mind term-limits too, while at it, 2 terms should be enough for a senator.
"He claims to be Independent, but he's supported by Bernie Sanders." She doesn't pay much attention to politics if she doesn't know that Sanders has been an Independent Senator for decades... I pay more attention to American politics than that, and I'm not a politician OR an American. You guys need to keep the Senate and get a convincing majority in Congress if you're ever going to keep your democratic republic and Constitutional rights and freedoms, the way your Founding Fathers intended. As a European, I know that much. We have seen our fair share of Dictators on this continent, and some of them were democratically elected by people who didn't see the red flags smacking them across the face all day long. Complacency is caused by a mix of laziness and cocky ignorance, and you guys are NOT the only country where that's a common trait in far too many voters... So I'm hoping for Dan, too! 💙 Europe needs a POTUS and a majority in both Houses on Capitol Hill who are loyal to America and her allies just as much as you do, but for different reasons.
@@didgeridooblue It's pretty much all Republicans after Trump _became_ the party, though. All the ones that spoke out against him were promptly primaried out by MAGA cult.
I can’t vote in NB. As an outsider, that statement from DF sounded very defensive, negative and very atypical lines of what a career politician would say to dodge a tough question. I would vote for DO if I could.
1 of the most telling things about a person’s character can be found in how they respond to a question. When each candidate was asked about their campaigns, Osborn chose to express confidence in his message & team, while Fischer chose to attack & slander her opponent; what’s worse is that, as the incumbent, Fischer should be able to lean on her record as a decisive advantage/reason for her reelection, but she avoids it entirely. Again, it’s very telling …
Osborn is an interesting critter, politically. His platform cuts across the typical, tired old left-right divisions and gets right back to old school midwestern populism, in the best sense of that term. I really hope he wins.
Using millions is useless. Share how Project 2025s plan for Coverture, Veterans, Education, Medicare, Social Security, women going back to not having the right to vote, Church in charge of state(Extremist Religious Cult, that is), forcing women to give birth to an endless amount of children, no overtime, higher taxes with no deductibles, farmers subsidies, no minimum wage, and 100 more horrible ideas. I grew up in the Gothard method of non-denomination, extreme cult. I lived Project 2025. IT'S HORRIBLE!!!
Being as how I've boycotted the nets for 4+ years I'd never heard of this guy until a pollster called me. I was one of those 'doesn't know enough about the candidate' people. I've not seen Fischer step up much for stuff I care about - and whenever I email her office I get the standard doubletalk answer. I don't need a recap of the issue - I want my questions answered. I may just vote for this Osborn guy.
Don't be surprised when all of Nebraska goes blue I mean it is Tim's home state and he actually has rural experience. And I think people will be voting as a referendum on j6 and Roe v Wade
@@lubamordkovich4077 Nothing like a trumplican falling for debunked lies.. Got to love the lack of intelligence in the loser crowd. That's pretty much the only thing y'all do well at this point.
I love how she claims that "loves Bernie Sanders" is proof that he's no independent. Bernie is the longest-serving independent politician in American history.
Bernie Sanders is an independent in name only, he's a full blown Democrat. Want more facts? He's endorsed every Democratic presidential candidate in his lifetime. An independent would have parity in that area, Sanders does not.
My birth state, and where I raised my kids. Come on Nebraska, you can do it. Slough off that nasty red coat you’ve been wearing around for too long. Be all that you can be again.
Me too. Born and raised in rural Nebraska. My family all still lives there and continue to be MAGA. They would rather go down in a ball of flames with Donald rather than admit they made a mistake. But my hope is that there are enough rational and reasonable, intelligent people in the state that vote blue.
Seriously. When I see Nebraska and Montana go MAGA at all I wonder what's going on. I've always associated those two states with smart, independent thinking, hard-working people. The people I know from those states are all of those things. 🤷
The wonderful thing about Independent candidates, is they can take the best parts of each side and make a workable plan. They are not restricted by the allegiance of other parties.
> "Loves Bernie Sanders" Yeah, because like Osborn, Bernie Sanders is an independent who is not a shill for the wealthy and will openly call out both parties when necessary.
God forbid she could talk about how proud she is of her record or appealing to voters by telling them she wants to make their lives better. I didn't hear any rancor from Dan, seemed humble and positive. It's no wonder he's got a lead. Nebraska is pretty red but we'll see if anything comes out of all this.
We need a nation of Sanders and Osborn's! Senators who work for and by the working class citizens of the USA! Not special interest groups or corporations! Make it happen, Nebraska!!!
