Pollarding Young Willows in a Fodder Block 

have you tried saving your tree fodder out of sunlight? We started saving our brick compressed azolla and duckweed out of sunlight completely. Then compressing it once it's dry. It help so much. they just retain more nutrion.

I would like to see more of this in the United States. The department of agriculture could be be giving away trees instead of cash payments for drought.

Why not use a polesaw?

Do you have any problems with gophers or voles?

You could pollard them shorter and you could make tree hay. Also could coppice instead.

Why can't you cut them at 5 or 6 feet? If you don't have goats....
