In this course, we’re diving in (no pun intended) to the topics of overwatering, underwatering, drainage, and other moisture-related failures on job sites. Join us as we divulge the most common mistakes we see in the field and how to avoid them.

Thanks for the video - how does this polymeric sand hold up (since you cite the cycle of water/drying) for snow that sits on it for months at a time? I'm installing a new patio that will have snow on it for about 3-4 months of the year.

We had to do our 9' x 18' patio of 18" squares separated by +/-3" joints. There were weeds/trees taller than me. We dug out the joints and filled them (+/-3" deep) with polysand, did NOT compact, and flooded them with water a couple times over a couple hours. It took all last summer to do it and about 40 bags of sand. It turned out great, except for the dirt that tends to cling to the top granular surface in places. We have had only a few small weeds so far, but otherwise it has been great. Now we can enjoy seeing and using our patio, even with guests. Next we will be filling open 1/2" joints in our car court. A couple joints that my wife did last year are doing well.

How do you clean the poly haze without damaging the sand in the joints? Won't the acids dissolve all the bonds in the sand? What's the best product and ideal dilution ratio?
