I happen to like BOTH THESE flicks. Polyester is a good fun Midnight-type flick and Happy Birthday To Me is a good fun slasher flick.

I like how Roger Ebert actually liked Polyester the movie but didn't care much for gimmick. Even Siskel points that out.

I feel the same way. It's a guilty pleasure for me. BUT, my only objection is why did Glenn Ford take a part in this movie? He was totally wasted and sadly this was his last film -what a waste.

A “fun” movie isn’t always necessarily a great one. It’s merely another gimmicky and deeply unimaginative Halloween and Friday The 13th clone.

@@RocStarr913 HBTM is dumb as hell but it's one of those "so bad it's good" slashers. On the plus side, the photography is actually quite striking.

Happy birthday to me is one of my favorite slasher/horror movies. These guys like all critics were never fans of horror films. Ahhh well too bad for them

@@adamquiles2468 Roger enjoyed Scream and Gene liked The Thing. I myself enjoyed Happy Birthday to Me but I generally don't enjoy horror.

@@ricardocantoral7672And Dawn of the Dead. Predictable. Like when kids bought Ramones shirts at Urban Outfitters and couldn’t name a song besides “hey ho let’s go” (I bet most people think that’s the name of the song)
