There IS sound. RU-vid glitches. If you’re experiencing no sound, refresh. Thanks for all your support, as usual! Special thanks to those who have donated via the ‘thanks’ button. It’s greatly appreciated, and helps towards the cost of providing free tutorials. ❤️ The ‘thanks’ button is located next to the like/share buttons underneath each tutorial. If you have found this tutorial via a link, you won’t be able to see the thanks button…you need to log into RU-vid directly. You can also support me by liking, commenting and sharing my videos. This helps with RU-vid algorithms and boosts my videos. Thank you!❤ Update: someone just pointed out one of my measuring sticks was 2mm instead of 2.5. Ooops! I guess I need new glasses 🤣. Not that it makes any difference at this point…it’s a done thing. Please don’t do as I did 🤣
Until RU-vid, bringing me you and a number of other artists, I did not know the proper way to use the various clays with each other. I'm still waiting to dive into the box of Cernit metallics and Pardo clays I've been collecting..Must put together all of the pieces I've already made before running off with another 'mistress'.@@clayboutique
I really loved this one! I was wondering just what you were doing with all of the steps, but I just love the end result! I’m also digging the new cutters too! 💗
These are so elegant. How clever you are coming up with all these good ideas. It must take ages to test out and work through. Thank you for sharing. I'm definitely going to try this out.
Didn’t even finish watching the video and I went and ordered some of the new ones and then came back to watch the tutorial. I’m so excited to get them and start creating. It will be a minute since I’m in Canada, but I know it will be forth the wait 😁
THANK YOU! I've wondered about that very temperature combo! I'm a Premo user, but love the translucent by Cernit! As always, fabulous tut, beautiful results 🌹 And ohhhhh my do I hear ya about that metal leaf! Could be said is Abby of us I imagine hehe
I enjoy your narrative so much. I can completely relate to your slight distractions… lol. I love working with polymer clay, I have 4 vocal kitties, my finger tips are completely shredded, ( definitely going to be using gloves in future. ). Girl, your charming, whimsical character is so enjoyable!! I’m learning so much from your videos. I appreciate your share so very much!!!
Those are amazing! Love, love love those😃great tutorial.may have to try that with copper foil and maybe another color or something holographic. Thank you!
These are very elegant and beautiful, I love them. Truly love the toggles and charms too - they add to the elegance. I finally made 2 pieces of polymer clay jewellery for myself, 2 days ago. I've had the clay for 4 years!!! I've been watching your tutes for just over a year now, and finally got around to doing it - what fun!!! But, OMG I see what you mean about the gold and silver leaf - what a nightmare!!! I have to say, you make it look so elegant and easy!! It gets everywhere doesn't it. I'm going to try this out tomorrow. I've had M. E. for 11 years, but had to stop working in 2015 as it got worse. I've got 3 years to go (come this January) till I can retire, so I'm always looking for ways to make a bit of money. The trouble is, it takes ages for me to get motivated. I live in a tiny flat too, so I only have my dining table to make stuff on. It takes a while to get tools etc out, then have to put it all away again afterwards, so that's why I put things off. But you really do inspire me, and you're beautiful creations are my reason for persevering. Thank you for your endlessly brilliant tutorials. xx
Hi Deb, that's horrible that you've had M. E for over 20 years, and having to give up teaching too. I think you still are a great teacher, your superb tutorials prove that. I think that M. E. is more recognised in America, but thank goodness, it is being more recognised these days eh. Take care, xx
Lovely! You’re right, very pretty. I can’t think how you come upo with these beautiful designs. O Joy Creatiion’s cutters are fabulous. Always hoping you are well. With love and prayers, ~ P🤗🥰🙏
Thank you for the great video. I used to mess up sticking the foil to the clay. But recently I cut the foil to size between the 2 sheets of paper before I add to the roll, and it works well for me. Plus the leftover piece wont get messed up either 😀
I just found your channel! I liked and subscribed the moment I thought you asked if your phone fogged up again but it sounded like “did my phone f#ck up again”!😂 You do beautiful work and are quite entertaining!
Love your videos and creations. Don't fret, gold and silver leaf are difficult to work with. I admire all the RU-vidrs making creations on camera. I don't think I could do it. You make it interesting and fun! 🥰 🤪 Derp!!!
You know how a song gets stuck n your head? I woke up this morning saying out loud chippy choppy, chippy choppy, lol, I love your videos, your are very talented!
Thank you for another enjoyable and inspiring video. I noticed you mentioned muddy clay and was wondering if you have tried "Blackout" clay. It is a Kato clay and it only takes a small amount (chick pea size) to transform muddy clay into black. It sure helps with that guilty feeling of wasting clay--everyone can use more black! Love you!
I can't believe you say, "you can't cane" when you put out cane work like this. It's the best work I've seen.❤ Trust me, I've seen a LOT!!😊 I'm in awe of your lovely creations. Thank you!! BTW, I didn't have any issues with the sound or blurry screen. ❤
@Clayboutique Perhaps, you misunderstood me. I did not have any problems with the sound or blurry screen. I could hear you just fine!! I could see you as well. I feel your cane was stunning. I loved it!!
Deb, you are so talented. Your videos are the best on you tube. You either can’t follow some or they droll on and on about everything. Sorry! Love your videos!!
What a beautiful collection you've made there - gorgeous - thank you for another great tutorial. Deb, as regards your finger have you tried Savlon or Coconut Oil. I believe one of those would work to fix it up for you.
I’m using Vaseline, atm, with cocoa butter in it. It’s starting to heal now.problem is, if I expose my skin to resin or isopropyl alcohol even just a little bit, it aggravates it again. I’m wearing gloves when I work, but I still mage to get it on me!
I really enjoyed this so much. Lovely pieces and your explanation of your thought process is helpful (like you I have wonderful ideas but unlike you I’m still trying to figure out how to get them from paper to tangible!😊) Thank you.
Just beautiful absolutely gorgeous I want to have a go but very new to this is there something else I could use other than the liquid clay thing as I don't have that x
All your videos are very beautiful and gorgeous. Love them all. I see your videos for long time. Always put like 👍 but never commented. But this time I thought I have to say your vedios are extraordinarily gorgeous. ❤
Thanks for always entertaining as well as educating! I don't know if this will help; in glassblowing/bead making we tend to pre-cut strips of 23K gold and fine silver leaf by sandwiching between scrap printer paper; the stuff is so expensive that we try not to waste it. You can even get decent shapes by using this method with craft paper cutters; good for surface applications under resin.
Hey, I just had a brilliant idea….take 3 different colors of nail polish and make a dot on matching depth sticks….next time you grab them just match up your colors! 😊 I’m headed to the craft room to do this one now. ! Thanks Deb! ❤️❤️😘 P.S. for your fingers, get a tube of campho phenique (tube) in phamacy by cold sore treatments) it has AMAZING healing properties and it’s cheap!
After I hit the enter button, I had a thought...on just the outer cane layer of translucent, when it's still unformed, add some alcohol ink to it, let it dry and work it in. Then flatten and wrap the cane, so you get a pale star pattern with your triangles.
Beautiful pieces. I love how translucent Cernit is. I think I have one 2oz block. I need to invest in a big boy one. LoL Question, I was just wondering, why is the first piece really white and the others are a little darker. Usually that's from overbaking (been there, done that) but they were baked at the same time/temp. I mean, they're all gorgeous. But the slightly darker ones seem like they have more depth. 🤷♀️ The sparkle is amazing.
Have you tried utter cream for severely dry skin? It is what the farmers use on cow utters. I love it and it works! Go to bed every night with cotton gloves on.
Any particular reason you used Cernit translucent ant not Premo? I tried the Premo translucent and it has been crumbly and hard to reduce. Wondering if it was just cuz it was dry or if it is harder to work with in general.
No reason, other than that’s what I had, although I do like Cernit trans for its translucency. Older clay can dry out a bit. Just add some clay softener to it.
