Thank you so much, Miss Carol!! I am thrilled you enjoyed this eggshell design so much!! I hope you will continue on in enjoying my work and my videos here. Sending you my big hugs!! :)
I remember your work from way back (started claying late 80s-90s) and was so excited to find your channel recently! Happy to see you're still at it 😊. I have covered eggs completely using the filigree technique and a mica shift technique but never decorated like you do and have had mishaps with shells breaking and collapsing while working no matter how careful I am. Thought perhaps if I give a coat of liquid sculpey over the whole shell first it might help, please, what do you think? Sometimes I think the problem is store bought eggs cuz when I raised my own chickens I don't remember the shells being quite this fragile...any suggestions? Btw love, love, love this delightful tute! 👍🫶✌️
OH WOW!! Thank you so much...and yeah, you really have dated me here!! LOLOL!! I will admit, that the eggs you raised were probably more durable, but I never really had problems with the shells too much, even store bought. But, it might just be me...I have not tried the liquid sculpey over the whole shell before, but I would say, experiment...why not? It could be alot of fun!! I can only tell you that the more openings you have in an eggshell the more fragile I have found them, however, the clay can act as a wonderful helper to eggshell and I think it makes all the difference. I do hope this helps and that you will continue to check in on me here on my channel...and if you haven't...also check out "The Eggcentric Egg Lady". It is also my channel and focuses on eggshell but with another interesting twist of using more pencil, watercolor pencil and other mediums on eggshell!! Sending you my biggest of big hugs!! :)
