Hello Friends!
I hope you will enjoy this tutorial because I really love this pendant. As for the backing, I left it untouched because I loved the way it looked and I was adding resin to the top which helps the pieces stick together (although they were holding pretty well on their own). If you choose not to apply resin, I would recommend to roll out a very thin piece of clay and add it to the back after the the pendant is baked and then bake it once again. I have a see thru hole in the middle of my pendant so if I was adding the backing, I would cut out the whole to keep the pendant see thru. Let me know how your pendants turn out! Ta, ta!

I love your energy at 5:30am 😂😂😂☕️ Your pendant turned out really pretty!!! How do you know when it is safe to bake that center piece? I always worry that it might have parts that could melt? I guess if I bake it and it melts then I would know that I shouldn't have baked it 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you so much , Colleen! I always make sure that whatever bling I am baking has glass rhinestones inside. I actually baked some with acrylic rhinestones by accident and it didn't melt, but it completely lost its shine. From that point on I get only glass rhinestones or pieces with glass rhinestones. In this case it did say on the package that it was g lip ass rhinestones so I knew it was safe to use it.

Joanna this is beautiful and oh-so-easy to make just like you said. Just one thing, as a retired chef, I have a habit of watching just how a crafter uses their blades and I paused the tutorial at 5:15 and I made sure that I was correct. Joanna every time you cut your clay, you cut it with the dull side of the blade and the sharp side up with your finger pressing into the sharp part of the blade. Not good. You can get a very bad cut that will get infected. Just saying.

Oh Michael, and you are so so right! I catch myself do it all the time! Isn't is just horrible?! One day, you all will witness the unthinkable! Ha ha! I finally did figured out why I do it. My eyes are going bad and I keep my head above the camera which is way further than I would have liked to and I am not noticing it until the pain kicks in. Ok so the piece is beautiful. But has anyone noticed the person doing the voice over sometimes acts like they don't even know what's going on in the video, kind of like it's not actually them doing the work? I have a theory that the person doing the voice over is taking credit for someone else's work.
