Thank you! I really enjoy teaching and I'm so happy you like it. If you get a chance, check out the Polymer Clay Adventure. Lots of great teachers there and great variety of projects and techniques. All my best, Pandora. PCA link: bit.ly/1wJLawK
I had a question come in today about making the bracelet bases. It's true that they can easily break when you remove them from the can. Here are a few things you can do: 1) Make sure to use Sculpey Premo for the base. The regular Sculpey clay is never strong enough. 2) Cool the base COMPLETELY before sliding it off the can. 3) Loosen the base from the can with your fingernail or a thin piece of plastic before removing it. 4) Be sure to use the thickest setting of your pasta machine for the base strip. 5) If it still breaks, just superglue it, let it dry and and use it anyway. I've done that a few times myself. :-)
Thank You! You are a wonderful teacher. You are clear in your instructions and are pleasure to watch. Your talent and love for this craft really inspires me.
It's my pleasure, Kay. I'll be offering more and better vids on curious.com On that site Search Polymer Claydate with Pandora and enroll if you like. Its free.
I started watching this video on my own and my two children came and sat beside me. They were enthralled.... my 6 year-old son said he wanted to eat your cane because it looked nice, lol. I really love the tile bracelet. Can't wait to see how it's made. Thanks so much for your videos.
This is the best caning tutorial I have found on RU-vid, thank you so very much for taking the time to make this video. You have taken the mystery out of the process as the heading promised. Can't wait to try my forest cane. Just one question though, is Sculpey Premo OK to use for caning?
I just found your vids last night. I've tried polyclay many times over the years, but have always ended up frustrated because I couldn't quite get it. Your great tutorials give me hope that I really can do it. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us!
I think you're a wonderful teacher! I understand what you mean by the fun of sharing and teaching! Thank you for your awesome ideas and tutorials! You're a lovely lady and to take the time like you do to give such great ideas to the rest of us! I just have to go out and grab the supplies now! I'm starting this jewelry journey in "wire" but this looks like so much fun! (esp with you teaching)
How nice of you to say. Thank you Lia. I have a new vid coming out this month at Polymer Claydate with Pandora on curious.com. i hope you enjoy it. Msg me if u need any help starting polyclay. Busypandora@gmail.com
I am so awed by the professional results & the ease which you teach. I can't wait until I can say the same about myself, ha. Thanks for the great teaching.
I don't know how often I've watched this particular video, but each tiime is a sheer pleasure. You are such a lovely person. Thank you. I look forward to the day when I will be able to make a cane from what I've learned from you. Hugs
You are a wonderful teacher. Not only is this video instructive, but your style is kind and encouraging. I look forward to viewing more videos from you.
You make the best videos I have ever watched. Every word you use has a purpose...and we learn from them! Great that you don't 'torture us' also...ll! keep up the fantastic, informative videos!!
Thank you for your great tutorial! I have only been working with polymer clay for a short time, but I think I have made some pretty things so far, but after watching you I know I will be able to make even more beautiful items. I can't wait so see more of your videos. You are so clear and down to earth. Thank you Thank you
Your videos are so great & so thorough. I love how you are never in a hurry! That is so awesome! You are a wonderful teacher and know so much. Thank you for being willing to share with all of us! I do wish that I could hear you better. Even when I turn my computer way up, I seem to need t strain to hear you.
Thanks so much for doing these videos! We've been looking for an instructor online who takes their time and really explains. Glad to find your videos. Please keep them coming. And your jewelry is fantastic! Cynthia & Judith in L.A.
Wow thank you so much for this tutorial! I am very new to clay and I have been watching and reading everything and your video by far is the most detailed I look forward to watching the rest of them
Wow Teresa you are a pro at this and your explanations are clear,I am new at this and I made my first pendants with the clay but now that I have seen your cool video I will try making a cane similar to yours it will probably not be as pretty as yours but I will certainly have a lot of fun making this, thank you so much for sharing this cool video and I will be looking at all your other videos and I am excited to learning all I can about making clay jewelry it is different from wire wrap jewelry which I still love to do also. Thanks again for this video.
New to your channel everything you do is so beautiful thank you. I’m a beginner so I’m enjoying watching all the videos I started playing with my grandson play dough . But still haven’t build up my nerves lol I’m also a beginner quilter thank you and happy holidays
Just awesome! And what you said is also what i teach, dont worry, just have fun with it. And it is not that hard if you just see everything in lose pieces :)
You are a great instructor. I plan on purchasing your caps benders and cuffs not to mention your gloss. I want it all. :) I've been learning for the last year-and-a-half have seen all your videos. I've worked hard and I've been using homemade tools, but I'm coming to a milestone in my learning process and I feel as though I deserve professional tools for various wants and needs for their precise measurements convince and easy use. Their aesthetic value will look beautiful on my glass desk. I've seen all your videos and I occasionally staulk your website. and have chosen two patreon channels to support within the upcoming month or so it will be you and Jessama tutorials as long as you both still have them lol it has been quite a Learning Journey Thank you for all your help videos and getting me started I hope you continue for years to come. xoxo Sincerely Deborah I
Noooo, fascinating and wonderful, but I wanted to see you make a bangle too! Thanks so much for this, you make it seem so simple, I might try this tonight.
Hello Teresa, are you still doing videos? I am just getting into polymer clay and love the bangles tutorial. I have a large wrist and would like to give it a go so I can start making my own. Thanks..hope I can still find you.
Hi Teresa, thank you for demystifying the complex cane! I tried it, and it worked! My only problem: cane was too small. I know it's been over a year, but I wondered do you happen to remember how much black and white you started with? Thank you!
Would love to see how you reshaped your triangle cane into a square. Do you have a follow up tutorial on this as you mentioned? I cannot find it and would love some help! Beautiful complex cane demystified by 3 easier canes combined into 1. Thank you
I don't know how in this world you make your triangles so perfect when reducing. Anytime I try to make a cane and reduce it, it's all knobby and wonky looking.
Hi Teresa, just discovered your Your Tubes. I am also in Indiana. I started doing a little bit of Polymer Clay caning while living out in New Mexico and since moving here 3 years ago I haven't touched it. I am an avid beader. But watching your video's has really inspired me to pull it all out. I wanted to ask you because I have lots of clay. I have some primo but I have sculpty also. Can they be mixed together in a can, such as If my primo is my white and sculpty is my black? I hope that made sense.
I noticed the frame you are working on. Does the frame itself bother you while you are working. I thought about doing the same thing so the glass edges are not exposed, but worried about the ridge in the frame. Just wondering, since it was holding me back from doing it the same as you. I love the graph paper in the frame idea. Love your work.
On my channel you will find my other vids. Can't remember if I sent a link to you already. Lol. Anyway the bracelet vid is there. Btw-that's the same cane in different colors.
Hi Teresa... i LOVED this tutorial. i started playing with clay 1 week ago, made a couple of simple canes and then decided to jump in to making this one.. it's turned out great.. Reducing it now.. yahoo.. i like the bracelet on elastic you're wearing in this tut and you mention the video for it but i cant find it anywhere and i cant even work out how to find your channel.. sorry but where is it please? thanks again. looking forward to making some of your others too.. have a good one..
I wish u would zoom in on certain things ur talking about. Maybe I need to keep watching to see the pattern better but I remember thinking the same in another video of yours. Thanks heaps for sharing :) Edit: oh shit this is 5 years old they'll be no remedy now lol
Hi, just came across your video, very informative thank you, I seem to have a problem with my clay. I use fimo and cernit, it just seems to akways be sticky. Tried the fridge but as soon as i work on it again ... sticky mess.... What am I doing wrong 😞 Merci 🗼
Amei, lamento que não tenha legenda em português . Mas como tenho facilidade de aprender devagar chego lá .kkkkk Obs: moro 10 minutinhos da firma. obrigada e muita luz
I thought I saw on one of your videos, that you were offering a link to buy a bracelet mold. I bought a scultptey one but it cracked in half when I tried to stretch it.
Hi Teresa, I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was showing my friend your videos and she said "does she teach any workshops?" So, do you :) I don't know where you are located but would love to come someday and take a class from you.
Hi, Carol. I'm in Indianapolis. I teach anywhere there is a group of 10 or more. I offer two-day workshops for $150. The hostess receives free tuition. It's really fun and is sort of a day retreat weekend for the students. You can reach me at 317,606,0287.
Hi Teresa, I have been watching your videos endlessly and wondered with this particular bracelet you are wearing how it was made? The separation or disconnected look. Are the shapes just laid on the black clay strip? The dark in between is throwing me off lol If it is clay or just the shapes of the cane pieces the keep it disconnected so to speak? I didn't see a video for this type of bracelet. Again. Love your videos. Thank you so much in advance.
Thanks Aldrin. I use Premo clay. I also use an Amoco cutting blade and Makins clay machine. Check out my other 7 vids and email me any time with questions. Busypandora@gmail.com Easy Heart Cane
Hello..... Thanks for your video. I've been looking for your tip on using a coffee can lid in reducing but can't seem to find it. Can you point me to it? Thanks :-)
Teresa Pandora Salgado even you find the Skinner blend. do you put it in. I'm lost and confused now. lol I'll just watch a few more vids on how to do it.
I watch this over and over because I love the way you communicate in this video, hey Hope you had an awesome opening day at Tiny Pandora.com I bought everything from you and I'll be ordering the cane caps that were sold out (yeah for You) on the second day of opening, You are awesome and you deserve it What are you thinking about for the fall? YOUR NEW ENGLAND ITALIAN FRIEND, SUSAN M. SAMPSON
Love your videos, but if people fold your first skinner blend the way you showed it being folded, there is no point in offsetting. It needs to be folded with the short ends on either side - mostly white on one side, mostly black on the other.
