Maive Ferrando thanks for replying. But its does not appear in the description box.. The tool that I'm talking about is bronze in colour and then it's kind of dent at the end with a pointy end. It appear in your video during 1:18

Bake them for at least 15 minutes, up to 30 would be fine too :)

Maddie Vondergeist you can buy softer clay, feel it in the package before you buy it and see if it's squishy. The big brands make clays that are soft, like sculpy souffle. You can also use clay softener if it's too hard to work with. Just a little tiny bit. But even if it is crumbly and hard, you should just need to kneed it in your hands till it's workable. And it's best if it's warmer temperature.

I recommend mixing liquid clay with the clay if it crumbles , but you must always need the clay before using if you live in a colder climate the clay can be harder too. I recommend using Fimo clay as a more realistic and sculpting clay and softer clays like sculpey for beginners! hope this helped!

I just had that problem with some Sculpey clay; no matter no much I kneaded it, added softener, warmed it, etc., It just was so hard and just stayed in chunks. I’ve learned to look at the manufacturing dates on the packages to try to get the freshest, and to give it a bit of a squeeze in the store. I’ve had no trouble with other Sculpey clays including III, Primo and Accents. I guess this was just a bad batch. I’m going to try some Fimo clay next.

Thanks Maddie. If you're experiencing the same problem over and over (when buying from the same seller, and the same clay) it could be that the clay is not properly stored. Because the sellers may not be "clay experts" they don't know how to store it. Sometimes, the rooms where the clay is kept is too warm, or kept near radiators, so the clay actually partially cooks, that's why it's crumbly. If after trying to knead it, or mixing it with clay softener or liquid clay, or a similar colour of clay that's malleable, does not work (and ruling out it's a defect in that clay, which I doubt) I would suggest changing seller. If you can go to a store and touch it for yourself(and see if it's soft), the better, but if you can't, maybe read reviews (if available) to see what other people say about the quality of the clay they get. Sometimes it can be that is too cold and the clay just needs a good knead. FIMO professional is in my opinion the hardest clay to the touch. Premo is softer but strong when baked and holds details very well. FIMO SOFT and Sculpey III are extremely soft clays, which is why I mostly use them for making frosting and icing.
