Thank you so much, Bev! I think that we all have a lot of craft supplies that we could use with pendants but w't e don't think of that! Thank you so much for watching! Have a beautiful day, my friend!
One thing to try is to spray the template with Son of a Gun Spray Protectant (STP). I got that idea from a video by cooltools as they use STP as a non-stick agent on their texture sheets when they are working with metal clays. That way the gilding should stick only to the clay! Give it a try 👍
I just moved and finally found many clay! My hands were craving to just touch Emmy clay and thanks to your tutorials.... Now I must try your different & beautiful techniques!!
Oh boy, the one you did on camera is the most beautiful out of the three I think. I absolutely love how the colors blended but stayed apart to show them individually. The stencil technique with leaf I find just genius. Thanks for yet another great tutorial Joanna! And as always I’m smiling with you in excitement because I can’t help not to ! 😂❣️❤️
Oh Gaby, you are so sweet and you just put a huge smile on my face!! Thank you!! You are just wonderful! When I tackled this project I was totally frustrated that I could not get an imprint as clear as when I got it on the red pendant so when it came out so clear, I seriously almost started jumping for joy!! ha, ha, ha!! I love how we can use all the supplies from other crafting areas on our pendants. Versatility is beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend, and thank you so much for being so encouraging and supportive. I really do appreciate it.
@@joannascorner4478 you are so welcome. I hope you continue to share your creations with us. - I always look forward to them! You make it look so easy though and it’s not 😅 but practice makes perfect and I keep at it! Happy crafting and a wonderful weekend to you❣️🤩
Joanna!! This was a fantastic video! Your pendant turned out beautiful and I’m so happy that this pendant turned out lovely, and not like the others had. I love watching your videos as you’re so cheerful and positive. You bring a sweet happiness to your videos which is important to me. 💗
You are just the sweetest, Susan! Thank you so much! I really was over the moon happy that it actually turned out the way I wanted it to! Using stencils open so many possibilities! Thank you so much for watching, my friend! Have a beautiful weekend!
For small pieces like these, to me it is so much easier to use UV Resin to dome or seal these Icees… no mixing two parts and having to worry about if you got your ratios right… This is a BEAUTIFUL pendant… very nice indeed….
Thank you, my friend! I use regular resin for many of my other projects so I never think about getting uv resin but yes, with small pieces like this uv resin would be great!
Great tutorial TYFS ❤️ you have a new subscriber 👍🏻 I think it’s fantastic when a polymer clay artist comes up with their own unique design and shows it for others to learn too 🙏
Thank you, Cathy! You probably have some stencils from paper crafting! Knowing you, your pendants are going to be gorgeous!! Have a beautiful weekend, my friend!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! I cannot wait to try this technique. It is so original, Thank you for your videos; I just love watching and listening to your enthusiasm :-) :-)
beautiful work, and nicely explained. Remember special gloves and a mask when using resins. The resin is very poisonous and you may develop allergies and respiratory problems
I enjoy your videos. You make beautiful pendants. Only thing I wish you would do differently is give us info where you purchase your products. Such as your silcone mat you're always mentioning. Also the stencils you use. Tks for your nice videos.
Hello dear Sarah! I have become better about listing what I use in my videos, but I was simply horrible about it till just a few months ago. You can see the link for the mat in the description of my most current video and the stencil is Hero Arts Spiral Stencil. The stencil is just so gorgeous. I love using it for paper crafts as well. Thank you so much for being so wonderful and watch the videos and thank you for commenting. I love to me adjustments once I know what to do to make my videos more fun to watch. I always hope to inspire others to get out there and creating things. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much, Tina! I have distressed oxides myself but I do not think it would give you the same effect because they are chalky. Alcohol inks are permanent inks and for the most part translucent so then you add it to it, you can still see the shimmer of the silver leaf. I am also not sure how they would react in the oven. Let me know if you try it! I'm curious to know. Have a weekend, my friend!
If u weren't trying to save the silver leaf you could probably use a piece of clear tape and just barely burnish it to make sure u only get the stencil...just a thought lol.
That's a very interesting idea, Rose! Are you saying that I would put stencil, then the leaf on top and then use the tape to lift the silver leaf from the stencil only, leaving the design on the clay?
Hi Rose! Great tip with the blending solution! I will try it! I'm actually working on a piece using alcohol to create a crackle and I did notice that watercolor effect that I am getting. Thank you for all the tips and suggestions! I love trying new things out!
@@joannascorner4478 Thankyou Joanna ☺️ just one more thing if you could ,I know you said Hero Art for the stencils I am trying to look for them ,did you get from Amazon?
Vanessa, the actual name if the stencil is Spiral Stencil by Hero Arts and I got it directly from Hero Arts. I think Simon Says Stamp may cary it as well. Let me know if you have issues finding it. Have fun!
I am using Sculpey and I try not to mix my clays because they have different baking temperatures. I do have couple of bricks of Fimo so I will play with it and see if I can tell the difference. Thank you so much, Joyce!
