Hello hello, GullYY here! Welcome back to another epic Polytopia video! In this video, we're checking out the new update released for Polytopia cleverly dubbed the "Patch of the Ocean" update! @@j-train13that would be absolutely great - it would add depth to the gameplay and seriously buff the diplomacy tech, which is somewhat useless in a lot of games. All in all, let’s hope the devs will consider adding this feature in a major update.

A little tip with starfish is that you can move a ship onto the tile when you don't have navigation, and next turn you can get navigation and collect the stars, allowing you to dedicate your stars on something to help you on that turn and still get the stars from the starfish.

I just started with Polytopia about six weeks ago. Appreciate the changes, but it makes learning via RU-vid tricky. You REALLY have to pay attention to what version of the game you’re watching. Even six month old videos are nearly worthless!

I say it's best to play the game offline, adjust the difficulty to give you time to learn what everything does. Getting used to the basics. It's what I did.

I've been really liking this update. The game got a bit easier with the Marketplace changes, but that was offset by better balance and stronger enemy AI, so the total amount of challenge isn't reduced. I just hope they fix Aquaculture somehow, since it's now economically useless and its name doesn't even make sense.

This is great! Man I've had an issue with the markets since they came out! I tried playing on continents to see if I could figure out a good way to use them, but even then it was an issue. I mostly play naval warfare oriented matches, and this ocean update made it tricky to get anything set up. With how slow it was taking to get ships out I decided to put down the game. I love it, but who knows, gonna reinstall it and see how the new adjustments affect naval warfare

Actually a good idea. Aqua temples are only good in glory, and deep ocean tiles almost never get used in might.

I think it'd be neat if you tried a game as zebasi since they got pretty buffed with the ability to make windmills and farms out of forests now on the same branch.

I guess now that markets get more value with more buildings next to them it might be more worth it looking a bit more in border growth spots for you. Since otherwise some spots where cities would touch wouldn't even be possible.

Hi GullYY, I love your videos, they helped me a lot to play better but I am still having hard time against Cymanti. Are you able to upload some guide how to deal with them? I am on a verge of taking a break from the game until the bugs get nerfed.

Bombers range should have been nerfed and damage should have stayed the same. That'd would have made them high risk high reward if used for attack. Rammers also have three movement making them useful as counter
