This is one of my favorite songs performed on an annual basis in Oklahoma. Recorded at White Eagle, Oklahoma, Ponca Powwow, 2012. One of the final songs of the evening on Sunday night. Women singers are referred to as "Lady Singers," however, women who sing at powwows are often referred to as "Chorus Girls," by the emcees, as was the case at the Ponca Powwow in 2012. However, as noted below, some women singers prefer the term "Lady Singers." Included here for clarity with respect.
