Of course Avel can sue! But he won't win. Truth is a perfect defense against libel and defamation suits. Maharlika may have violated other contracts, or non-disclosures, but she certainly did not defame or libel Avel since she’s telling the truth with evidences. Also, Maharlika as a practicing journalism practitioner she can claim freedom of speech which is highly respected here in US.

While on vacation in the Philippines in the 90's, I was staying at Grandma's at So. Forbes in Mkti., a good friend/neighbor who happened to be one of Katrina's best friends asked me to go with her to Katrina's (then) place in Magallanes Village. On the way back she told me of stories of 'fun' as part of their chill time -- also with the Marcoses :)) . All of them had been friends since forever . She also told me of stories of panic during the time the Marcos family and staff were ousted from the Malacañang and how some things transpired at my friend's place at that same time. The stories coming out now and their association don't surprise me one bit. Sad that this almost looks like a round robin for power amongst the elite.
