Dear Darcy, thanks for your hint. We have never tried, but we hear from other swimmteich owners that those robots do not work in swimmteichs. Probably because there is too much biofilm on the walls so they cannot climb the walls. It does work very well in the beginning - the first few weeks but after that it gets difficult. Another reason why they do not work that well is because in a swimmteich you will always have folds and wrinkles with your liner. It is a natural pool, the walls are not just straight, so even the best professionals will not be able to weld the liner without any wrinkles. And those are obstacles for the roving vacuum...... Nice idea, but we are much too afraid that they could multiply too much. And they would bring in organic matter again, which we try to avoid as much as possible.....
