And what's the results bro? Have you got good results for selling ur music on ponds5? How about audio jungle, beatstar, airbit, Shutterstock? Which one the best?
Great info as always. I don't sell much on pond 5 but sold a premium license the other day. Not sure exactly what that is. It only states that various people can use the music. My music is PRO registered so if anything is used commercially I should hopefully see something for that. They don't really explain clearly what the lisences are.
Thanks for this info. It may very well be invaluable to me. It is absurdly easy for me to make 15 seconds of very cool music. Way before watching this video, I, in a pejorative sense, called myself the "King of the 15 second song." I can make a great start to a song, but actually turning that into a full song is not yet my forte, as I still struggle a bit with song structure. Add to this that my friends and family are used to listening to radio songs, and so they can't appreciate my 'elevator' (background) music, as I do instrumental music only, so nobody I know really likes my music. So this video has given me hope. I can just make a 15 second piece of music and totally not worry about turning it into a full song. Of course, making a 15 second song is very fast compared to making even an 1:30 song. My talent is really making a snippet of music that portrays a very specific feeling. I would have never imagined that 15 seconds of music may be even more valuable when selling royalty-free music. Thanks so much!!!
But I just want to make sure that I'm not misinterpreting the information here to feed my dream. If I create a really good 15 second sample, that will be accepted and can sell on Pond 5? And is it the same for Audiojungle? I just have to ask, because I believe (though doesn't everyone think their creations are awesome), I could do 10 awesome (in my opinion...though I am well-versed in music in general) 15 second songs in a day outlandishly easy. It seems too good to be true that what I think is my Achilles heel is actually my greatest strength.
Oh and add to that that I already have a significant library of music (totally unpublished) which I have created, that I can mine 15 second snippets from to a very great effect.
I have 145 tracks on Pond 5 and 0 listens on most songs. I did get 4 sales in January which was nice but zero sales in February. They sent out a briefing saying to make surf music and to use their special tag for exposure. I made a few surf songs (that is right up my alley) But they all have no listens still. That’s okay though, I’ll keep at it. One day I’ll get in the algorithm more. 👍🏼
I appreciate your work! I wonder, when making the :15 second, :30 second, etc. edits, should they be faded at the end, or should that be left up to the end user? I can see a need for both, but which would be more popular for purchase?
One edit could be a held chord at the end, another edit could be an infinite loop version, another edit could be a fade, but the client can generally do this with either of the other edits.
I have sold very less on Pond5 as compared to my sales on AudioJungle, but 90% of those sales were edits. Its actually a great thing to see that you can create more opportunities for sales for yourself, from just one track on Pond5.
@@umamahmad6342 Hi I have only tried Pond5 and AudioJungle, I would say they both are equally good, it depends on the kind of music you make, some music tracks sell better on Pond5, some do well on AudioJungle. You will have to experiment and check, but the most important thing for any library is consistent uploads, simplicity and the best possible quality you can provide within the genre you are writing.
@@mansijmadaan7352 what kind of music genre do you write? And what kind of ur best seller on audiojungle and pond4? Hahaha May i know ur audiojungle and pond5 portofolio? Hehehe Let me try to have a look.
@@umamahmad6342 I write guitar based Rnb/Soul, Hip Hop tracks, and those usually do well for me on both the sites, I also write corporate tracks but Rnb/Soul/ Hip-Hop music has done better for me.
@@mansijmadaan7352 wow amazing.. I'm sorry before if I'm not good for my question.. But, how many is ur income from both of that website per month, whether more than 500usd or less than 500usd? And how many songs that you have produced?
Hello, have been enjoying content videos and knowledge!!!! my concerns now , with stock music what about copywrite does it matter or not and do i need to be set up as a music producer like with ascap or bmi... I have in past years been in contempary gospel. Needing to transition to own person music... I think is is a great transition for me, but I had not notice the background for signing up info to one of these stock music (how do you exactly get paid from them ). I guess what I am asking I am just getting paid directly from one of the stock music business and no need for a middle man if this makes sense. Thank you!!
I think I'm going to concentrate on Pond5 again. I've submitted 6 songs to Audiojungle since November and had 4 sales, but my latest upload has been rejected and I personally. thought it was my best and most likely to sell track. I just feel like some of their reviewers just don't like certain styles... I was hoping that after getting a few sales, my tracks would get accepted, but no... so feeling a bitt crap about the whole thing tonight... but uploading a few tracks to Pond5 and see how they do. Thanks for your video and general encouragement :)
I priced my musid on pond5 for 10 usd a track, do i get the full 10 usd when someone buys my beat or a percentage? Im trying to figure out how to priice my music
Good to know that Me making 30 second and one minute versions of nearly all of My music might actually pay off more. I did that so I could put a bunch of tracks together as a demo of My music for people to know what I can do. Also I prefer to put short cuts out first before the full track is put up.
Great question. Watch this video: How To Do 60, 30 and 15 Second Music Edits For Commercial Spots ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--J1alGICK44.html
Doing "bed" versions of the songs is also a good way of milking them some more on Pond5 and other sites like Vfine. I just mute the lead melody and sell it as "no melody" or "bed".
Gracias Daniel por estos Tips y tu dedicacion a "mentorear" compositores, estoy aprediendo mucho de tus videos antes de experimentar con mi musica. Gracias nuevamente
