Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Auroville is located in Tamil Nadu and was founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa, a disciple of Aurobindo and fondly known as the 'Mother' of Sri Aurobindo Society. Conceived as the 'Universal Town', Auroville is an experimental township where people from across the world of all cultures and traditions come and live together in peace. People from 124 countries including Indians from 23 different states came together with some of their native soil brought from their homelands.

This tiny museum has a nice collection portraying local history and artifacts.and statues from chola dynasty
Puducherry Botanical Garden
Timings : 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Time Required : 30 minute
Entry Fee : Rs.30/-
You might catch up with botanical gardens around the corner, in many places in the country. However, one such, near the sea side is a rare sight. The exotic plants introduced by the French, of which the few survivor species are found in this Botanical Garden.
