Pong - Game Grumps VS 

I just realized dans name is Dan avidan and his dad's name is Avi avidan. Which means their first name is just the other half of their last name.

As a dude who works at a GoodWill, I recommend _not_ buying a controller from us. There's a reason a person came by and gave it to us, lol

This was my first video game. It's probably the best game I've ever played from childhood. I'll explain some mechanics. Different powerups appear for different levels. The color of the balls change colors when they appear to help show which player can take the powerup. If their color ball hits the powerup, the powerup changes to the player's color and starts moving towards the paddle, unless the powerup gets tagged by the other player. Then it starts moving towards the other player. Question-mark powerups changes the level, as you see in Log Jam. Each level is unique because they each have a theme. Some levels are for one player only, giving an objective to do, such as fishing, saving sheeps from a wolf, playing labyrinth, and more. Some levels puts you up against a computer to beat in a race to get to 10 points. They all have different mechanics special to those levels only, such as a tilting arena, an ice rink, a metal arena, and others. Each level requires a number of gold bars to unlock. Each level has three different scenarios to play on. When playing alone, the reward for completing each scenario is a gold bar. That is all. Oh, and finishing the game rewards you with retro black and white pong.

I had this game... Not sure why

I woke up and immediately watched this video. I don't even know why I did that, but I must say that game grumps is the greatest thing to wake up to.

You know, I often hear a lot of people slandering Arin, saying he's an idiot, a hypocrite and a douche which he all kind of is, but in this episode I noticed something. I don't really know for sure but it seems like at around 13:15 Arin decided he would kind of "throw" the game, he played a lot worse than he did in the rest of the video. Some people might see this as a bad thing but I honestly think its really sweet of him to do that for Danny because Dan really became happy when he started winning.

For some reason, some of those levels seemed very Crash Bandicoot-esque.

I kind of don't like the fact that whenever Arin knows something about the game that Danny doesn't, he exploits it, and never tells Danny. But when Danny figures something out, he tell Arin almost right away.

Here's a little story relating to pong: You know those "enter for a chance to win" things on cereal boxes? When my dad was a kid, he entered a contest from a captain crunch box to win an Atari, the kind with the spinny knob. Well, it just so happened that he won, so he got to play pong and such. He still has it and I'm pretty sure it still works.

Searched all over and no one was asking about it, so I looked around for myself. The song Dan and Arin sing at 12:08 is "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal, which now makes sense to me as to why he's singing it after he summons the seal.

When Dan says "YYAYYYYY" at 14:46 ish, you can tell that is pure unadulterated joy from a grown man. Good job Dan. Good job.

Okay, I actually have this game for PC so lets see how much I remember from playing it many years ago. The pong balls change color according to the last paddle to hit it when your trying to control the power tops, and you can only unlock stages in the single player. Different power tops will give you different activated abilities key to each stage as a bonus to any ability you may receive from the stage itself, there are also power tops that immediately affect the stage as well. Beyond that I can't remember much else other than the fact that it became a huge pain in the ass to beat in later levels.

when there are spinning tops, (which are power ups you can use with x) the balls change colour, and whichever colour hits the top, the top goes towards that colour's side... though if the other person hits the top with a ball of their colour before the other person gets the top, it will start going the other direction back to the person that hit it last

OMG I have this game!!! I used to play this game religiously as a child!! The music...the feel... the challenged, it was a beautiful game!

I remember a friend and I finding this in the bargain bin for a couple of dollars and we got it as a joke but it actually kept us entertained for a few days straight.

Finding out Pong had iterations in 32 bit+ graphics was kinda like trying CG-rendered Tetris games on the Xbox 360 for the first time-I was used to the less than 16-bit quality visuals that I both saw and played myself, and seeing them in a somewhat fleshier, smoother rendition was a bit (heh) jarring for me. Anyone else had that experience?

I played this game so much when I was a kid. I had this, the Asteroids remake, and Agile Warrior as my only games for the first like year I had my PS1. Hits me right in the feels.

This was the third video game I ever played (back when I was 7), right after Croc: legend of the gobos and army men 3do. Seeing Danny and Ego play it blew my f**king mind for some reason. The sound effects and grahpics, so ingrained in my memory and I hadn't thought about them for years. Then seeing them agian. Holy balls.

This game is awesome. I had it back when it was still recent, and I played the hell out of it. For being Pong, it's oddly fun with all the extra stuff they add.
