I also agree Edwards is the best fullback in the game at the moment. If Edwards is available I wouldn’t have pings in the team outside of backup fullback in the extended squad.

If Edward’s was fit I would have him fullback and Dearden 6 and Ponga 14. At the right time put ponga at fullback at Edward’s shifts to lock and give a forward a break. Tommy Deardens effort and defence combined with Clearys defence and masterclass would be really effective with a strong forward pack.

Gus is right. Pick the best one and the others miss out. Peachy and ODavis were great fullbacks. But Lockyer was better so peachy and oDavis missed out. Same with Bowen, Stewart and hunt all great but slater was better so they all had very limited shots at it.

Ponga doesn’t deserve to be picked this year there regardless of what position he plays he’s not in at all Tedesco should be nowhere near the team this year The only realistic options for fullback are Edwards, Papenhuzyen and Drinkwater If Munster is unavailable I’d happily pick Dearden Before all of you get but hurt you all need to realise Australia have better options for halfback than Cleary this year Cleary hasn’t earned the right to play for Australia cause he’s been out injured for majority of the season I would’ve picked either Moses or DCE instead of Cleary but with Moses injured and Cleary only coming back from injury the halfback is pretty much guaranteed to be DCE
