This video focuses on the remote crossing loop control at PONT CROESOR upon the Welsh Highland railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog.
The loop here being remote has some unique operating equipment, as well as trailable points and some crossing controls for the adjacent PONT CROESOR bridge and roadway.

I've often wondered how these NSTR block stations were operated on the WHR. It's a fascinating perspective into these operations. Thanks very much to you both. I have also noticed, what's the purpose of the wrong road plungers on the wall there? How is that involved in operations?

Think I may do a no signaller key token circuit video next for you 😗, The wrong direction road plunger as described allows you to shunt forward without initiating the crossing but still get the signal to shunt ( if I’m recalling what Tim told me on the day right).

The wrong line plunger is used to clear the starting signal of the opposite platform to normal, for example if you have an up train to Porthmadog leaving from the down platform. This will generally only occur when a train has terminated at the station and is returning to where it originated. I belive the response from the IRSE account is referring to the crossing inhibit switches which only get used in exceptional circumstances as this prevents LC55.59 and LC55.60 (The 2 road level crossings) from operating when the Pont Croesor - Beddgelert token is removed.
