The first pilgrims set off for Sete Cidades from Ponta Delgada at 5.30 a.m. on Saturday morning from the church of Sao Pedro (Rancho Sao Pedro - Ponta Delgada).
The pilgrims will be on the island of Sao Miguel until the end of March.
