Thanks man , saved me time by showing me this as the guy before me put in rockfords but he ripped all the carpet out and covers cause they are 3 way speakers and stick up way to high so now im off to the junk yard to get the rear cover and get some 6x9 cover and replace the cover and and take out the speaker covers and put some 6x9 covers over the speakers , thanks
2 wires are for the sweaters and the other 2 are for the sub. I found out I couldn't hook all of mine together (subs and tweets) because it had distortion so I only went with the subs part. The subs part is CD and tweeters are AB

Is this a 2006 G6? I blew my rear driver side speaker and I’m not a car guy. I don’t know how. I want to get new speakers but what brand should I go with? I’m not trying to be the loudest car in the street, mostly want it to sound nice and a little loud. ( no subs just speakers)
You can go to walmart they sale a 3 way speaker ( 6x9 ) for about 30 bucks and they sound really nice and have some bump but very nice sounding they are the pioneers.

On the back of your radio there is a blue or blue with white stripe that goes to ur amp remote next to the battery in ... with that connected that is what turns ur amp on and off when ur radio is on or off ...

can you help me out? i've got 4 wires running to my original factory left rear speaker in my 2009 pontiac g6. 2 seem to be powering my speaker and 2 seem to be powering the factory tweeter built into my rear factory 6x9 speaker? which wires do i connect to my new speaker terminals?
@@djrutherford3926 is ur g6 the gxp model if so u hook them up to the Right rear light blue n dark blue and dark blue is the postive Left rear yellow and brown and brown is postive
@@LosProduction2006 my model is just the 2009 Pontiac G6 GT. I noticed that there is an amp in the trunk that came factory installed with the vehicle if that makes a difference. Each factory speaker had 4 wires running to it. I think two for the speaker and two for the Tweeter.
Yeah u can but the speaker grills won't go back on the same and u mite tear the carpet and the grill is smaller so it will be tuff to get to the screws.
On those wires that I hooked up u don't cut them all u do is heat them up and pull back tell u see wire then rap new wired and tape them .... I don't cut them so it keeps the factory plug incase I sell the car then I just plug back stock ... what year is ur car
So, my bass just stopped working all of a sudden while I was driving, and now it’s just all treble. All my fuses and wires are good, anything you or someone else would recommend before I buy a whole new speaker set?
It could be that your remote wire could have touched ground in the back of ur radio or the amp .... that would shut the bass off ... make sure the amp has the light on.... also check ur subs push them in with ur hand if they are stiff then they are blown and that would be the reason y u don't hear bass but if they move in and out there fine ... let me know if that helped
Not sure if you still respond but I got a 2009 g6 with the 4 wires I swapped out the old 6x9s for aftermarket and it sound distorted even the front ones but they have not been touched
Are u talking about the harness on the stock 6x9 ... I so u hook up the red to the brown and black to the yellow .... on mine the car 6x9 are colored yellow and brown
@@LosProduction2006 radio is in, its the rear speaker plug, i have 4 wires not 2, i hooked them up black and yellow. Car was dead next morning. I have a picture no clue how to send on here
