sadly most people do not have the attention spans to watch such videos and simply enjoy them. Thats why creators are forced to add background noise and stupid popups
I get a lot of car videos on my YT feed but this just captures the sound perfectly. Something about the way the car is moving away from camera in proportion to the engine revving but the sound diminishing because of the acceleration.
The way he pulls away is just perfection the way he controlls the wheel spin before standing on it totally is amazing. And the noise is just out of this world.!
When he release the throttle to shift gear, you can hear the engine goorgling for air like a wild beast. The sound of this engine is out of this world, that car sounds wild and alive, just beautiful. Cheers from Italy 🇮🇹
Train was a cool touch. I like how you say it's healthy and mean at the same time. That's why I like American muscle. It doesn't have to be the fastest but it's dramatic regardless.
Manual Trans has another BIG Performance in my Opionion. You can choose your Torque right to the Track, Curve or something like that, with Automatic u can fast forward with manual u can hard hittin the Corner
You lose like 25 horsepower just having an automatic; they're heavier and there's a mechanism for the express purpose of turning every shift into a granny shift, because ease of use at the expense of performance is the whole idea. They are not suitable for racing or precision driving imo, but I walk everywhere so
@@salazamnot shitty, just an aggressivecam profile. you can't have high performance at high rpm and a smooth idle at the same time (well you can but its expensive and doesnt sound cool)
@@gnarlytothemax It's a gimmick marketing.. Blueprinting a engine simply means, measuring everything, and confirming everything is in factory OEM specs, as if someone built it using a "Blueprint".
Who would have guessed that incremental improvements on an engine for nearly 70 years would result in the engine being incrementally better after nearly 70 years?😆
@@aleksanderhilst-olsen2804 A Tesla conversion would make it even faster but just like the ever too common LS engine, I prefer keeping a car pure to it's roots IF they can. There are ways to make a Pontiac fast with a Pontiac block. Some people don't care. I do.
Been into muscle cars all my life (I’m 74….been reading Hot Rod mag for 60 plus years)this car, the look, the sound, the acceleration, stick tranny….one of the absolute best I’ve seen. The LS engines are just killer. Dave in Omaha
This road used to be filled with winding twists and turns...before this guy showed up. 😁 I was 3 when this beast came out. A kid in the 70's, a teen in the 80's, and a young adult in the 90's...not too bad!
Sitting in a bus watching car related content. Stumbled on this video and had a hard time containing myself. Full body shivers and goosebumps from that pure magnificent sound. I'm not able to build cars as a hobby due to financial issues as I work part time atm and seeing people do what they absolutely love makes me emotional to say the least.
I myself have been goin thru a tough time finnancially and I'm grateful I can still play with my car. It's not much, and with a bigger budget I'd be done building it by now but the struggle will make the end result all that much better. I started with nothing but a rusted hulk with no engine that I bought off a farm 4 years ago, and while it's still nothing special, it runs and drives and I can actually play with it while building it. If you're anything like me and cars are one of your lifes greatest passions, you'll make it work sooner or later no matter the cost. I built mine in a driveway on jack stands, no fancy shop, no fancy tools, just determination and time. You just gotta keep pushing man! I believe you can do it! Best of luck my friend 👍
As an American, this is the kind of thing I think of when I think of an American muscle car too. This shit is more American than a fat guy with a gun drinking budweiser and eating a cheeseburger.
Guys, Here is our True Savior YaH The Heavenly FATHER (Genesis 1) HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF” From the Ancient Semitic: "Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3) Ancient Semitic Direct Translation Yad - "Behold The Hand" He - "Behold the Breath" Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
That was beautifully, cinematically timed that just when he drove out of frame, the train rode by...even the camera work all fit! all of that was slick as hell!
OH MY GOD. This is the first time ever when I see and hear this car and it's on youtube. I swear One day I will own a Pontiac LeMans 1969!!!! I NEED THIS CAR, I WANT IT, I WANT IT TO BE MINE, I WANT TO DRIVE IT, TO FEEL IT, TO LOOK AT IT, TO LISTEN TO THIS BEAUTIFUL ENGINE, I WANT TO RIDE THIS BABY AND TAKE CARE OF IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, I LOVE YOU
My friend and his Dad have had an awesome 69 GTO Judge since 69 when his Dad bought it new. What an amazingly cool car! Yours sounds fantastic and looks wicked in black
The old block 389 tri-carb Pontiacs valve train wasn't suppose to like high RPMs according to Butler Performance, but the 1966 GTO that I got a few rides in had all the right mods and loved to rev to 6,700 RPM and I believe that 389 had a forged after market high displacement crankshaft giving it a displacement of over 460. It sounded incredible going from 4,500 - 5,000 RPMs. I was hoping I'd hear that again, but this car turns out wasn't using a Pontiac V8 to 7,000 RMPs. Still very impressive. It's hard to believe it's only 6.0 L.
No one believes that my buddy's 68 302 Z28 hit 9,000 rpms. $2,700 new. Flaw, the body would hit the frame on a high rmp flat shift. Chambered exhaust. The sound was like this LeMans.
It's awesome how much of the same reaction that the majority have over the perfect sound this car makes.. when they shift from 1st to 2nd and still hearing the tires talking to you ....chills indeed
I like how he had to ease into the throttle in 1st gear to keep from blowing the tires off, those old cars are heavy but once you get them moving.....they move fast!
@@sativa1320 have you ever owned an old car? They were anything but light, they were on average alot bigger than today's cars and used a hell of a lot less aluminum so you have no clue what you are talking about.
That's a much more modern engine though . Car's are generally smaller but heavier now . All of the extra crap people want now isn't weightless . Back in the day an early 70s Chrysler New Yorker was considered very heavy . Now lot's of SUV's and almost all Pickups weigh more .
@@heavymetalredneck7973 Yes i have indeed, and you are actually just denying facts lmao. A 69 charger the most iconic muslce car is 3100 lbs, a bmw M3 weighs 3,990 lbs.
The original post this man made is fine. Hey dude, don't let it ruin your day 🎉. I noticed that "feather the throttle" because indo it alot! On my cub cadet on a steep ditch. 😅 Thank you and I can't spell for some reason.
@@raggetheman And it sound THAT great with mufflers ? Cant imagine how it'll sound without them Do you race it on a track ? Seems it has some suspension work done, Also which LS is this ?
It totally is one of the best sounding cars I’ve ever heard!!! 😳 might even be the best in my mind. 👌🏼 It’s almost as beautiful as my twin stacked reliably built performance 6.0 powerstroke diesel… And that things my pride and Joy! Very nice car ✊🏼👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Tasteful launch, and hearty pulls through-out. Very nice video and thank you for the content. Nothing like a nice lazy V8 waking up and getting excited on the road.
This exhaust is perfection to me...love it and I wouldn't change a thing. My first car was a 71 Pontiac LeMans. I paid 1200.00 for it from a good friend. He was the second owner and he bought it off a old lady for same price that he sold it to me for.. friends..God love em. He even had it painted bright red , new brakes, and tuned the 400 Pontiac motor up. I drove it for years putting wider Eagle st tires and solid aluminum wheels around it and tinted windows dark and of course dual exhaust. gave it to my brother in law
AAAhhh Yes Music to my Ears. I own Two muscle cars and 1966 untill about around 1980 have the most beautiful sounds with a medium OR high lift Camshaft that just sets off the proper Exhaust system.. My 1970 AMC 390 sounds so closely related. My 1974 is eerily similar with the 1972-401 sound. It never gets old..The Sound that is.. What a Great car this Pontiac is.. THE people that love it love it. THE People that don't just don't get it.. HOWEVER many of us do.!!😏👍🏼💥
