You produced a very professional looking and technically well made result. It looks like something that could have been made by a professional boat builder. Good job, well done.
Lovely job, most people around the world don’t understand just how much Americans have. A shop to work in is a huge luxury, most people have a single car garage or garden shed if they are lucky and minimal power tools, drill, jigsaw and sander. Glad to see someone use there space. Congratulations.
I couldn't agree more...freedom and capitalism is a wonderful luxury that everyone should fight for. Its amazing to me that there are people here in the USA voting for socialism. Thanks for watching.
Very cool! Nice job. Years ago I had a slide on truck camper and an old pontoon boat that I wanted to put together as a “shanty boat”. I was going to put the helm station under the cab over portion of the camper. Unfortunately life got busy. I have the time now but I got rid of everything.
Beauty setup, clean and good use of space. Great idea with the remote steering and rear facing camera. Not sure how much you'd use it for going backwards but nice to see what's going on out back. Well done
Very cool setup I love it. I was thinking of doing the same thing but I was going to put a piece of clear plexiglass in the middle of the floor so I could take that piece of plexiglass out. When I wanted to fish. In case it was raining or something. I could sit on the couch and watch TV and have my fishing line in the water at the same time.🤣🇺🇲
Incredible build, I would love to have this as my very own. But I have to admit, my favorite part was your beautiful dogs. I kept saying, more views of the doggies please! I hope they get to ride on the new boat too!
that is a Beautiful shantyboat you did a awesome job on it . i've always thought it would be a cool project to buy a pontoon boat and convert it but i'm not good at large scale projects.
Beautiful build. The attention to details at every step made this look like a new houseboat that people pay big bucks for. I hope there is a playlisted series showing step by step. I'm sure some people would build these as actual tiny house homes.
It seems like a lot of weight For the two pontoons if you put five adults in there, I think they will go underwater. You did a beautiful job. It looks luxury.
When I lived in my boat I had a 3 gal pump up sprayer with a sink sprayer hooked to it I would leave it in the sun all day and would shower on the deck in the evenings I would cook outside of the cabin never like the smell of cooked food inside my living space,,you did a great job I been thinking a lot about building a pontoon house boat, I would surely use the roof space for relaxing and solar panels for a roof, and I would build a water filter to clean the grey water for reuse or release
Very, very nice!! What's most impressive is that you built it yourself. Very well thought out and very well executed. The build quality shows. Here's a question for you, how does the new weight compare to the original weight of the party barge? Are you close to the weight capacity of the pontoons, or is that a non-issue?
Hello, Before I got started taking everything out, I marked the pontoons while on the water to see what the difference would be from the factory. From the factory the boat always seem to set really low in the back. I think they had it that way because it was rated for 15 people who would more than likely would want to sit up front. After the build the boat sets more level and I don't plan on having 15 people on it at any time. I was told to try and keep the pontoons from being submerged more than halfway fully loaded and a little higher in the front so it wouldn't stuff the bow in rough water. I hope that answered your question. Thanks for watching.
@@stephenkeener9565 The brand I bought is Intellisteer . I ordered mine through Hodges marine. It has work flawless and sure is nice not being back at the helm. Thanks for watching.
I love the way it turned out it’s true factory looking. I did the exact boat back in 2010 but all I could get for outside siding was race car aluminum which is also what cargo trailer’s is built from and all of the seams and rivets were visible. Do you have a video on you making the outside walls or somewhere that I can see how to make them? Thank you for your video and again it looks amazing and very well laid out. Thank you.
Well I had videos of the walls on my phone and some how they got deleted. The walls were simple to make . First I laid out the 3/8 plywood sheets on the floor and framed the bottom, top and the joints with 1x6's then glued the foam board between the 1x6's then glued the paneling on top. Once that was done I flipped it over and used contact cement to glue the Filon on. You can that at RecPro. Then I had some buddies come over and we lifted the walls in the boat. Hope that helps thanks for watching
This has to be the nicest pontoon boat conversion I've ever seen. If that was mine I would find myself a secluded cove somewhere and stay as long as I could. I love sleeping on the water. May I ask where you got the 12 volt fridge?
