Wow...I guess they didn't get to Cadance in time in this one...or they got her out of the caves but she was too weak from hunger and thirst. Poor Cadance.
This was interesting to hear! When Celestia initially spoke that line in the episode, it always left me deeply bothered. One of the worst feelings in the world is shattering the trust shared between you and someone that you look up to.
The "what if" fallout of this would be interesting, the crystal empire even if still saved would need a ruler, if not Luna then Twilight when she ascends IF she still does, and even then if she does and is tasked with running the empire what of her Freinds would they move there to to stay with her?
thank you for this Scribbler. and thank you ChronicLurker for writing this story. this completely fixed my issues with the Canterlot Wedding episode. I always hated how the ponies just abandoned Twilight rubbing it off as jealousy, I especially hated Celestia for not trusting her own student. this reading however finally shows Celestia's regrets for her actions and makes her more pony than goddess well as she was seen as before this episode. The only problem I have with is Cadence being dead. I'm not sure about it but I think that Choice was made because you didn't like the character or the ending. or maybe it was to reflect on your own loss of your beloved pet (I also am sorry for your loss). I personally didn't have a problem with Candence or the ending, my only complates were on how Twilight's friends just acted toward her, but other than this was good story
Chris Scott From what I was able to gather is that Cadence and Twilight weren’t able to get out of the caverns themselves, eventually succumbing to exhaustion. Cadence had it the worst because she had been down there for a much longer time. I only think this because the story referenced Luna’s quick thinking in regards to finding someone or something.
@@Alpha121198 If Cadence had been in those caves for days, she'd probably die from thirst, hunger or even exhaustion. I know alicorns are immortal, but I don't think even they can survive these situations.
They trusted someone they knew for a day, over someone they knew for (presumably) a year. And after all was said and done, no one came to her and apologized. It still baffles me to this day how she found it within herself to forgive them.
Oof. Even now people take issue with how canterlot wedding part 1 ended. I can't blame those fans though. I heard that season 2 was to showcase Twilight's flaws, but judging by how the bronies reacted to the canon part 1 ending it was a major misstep.
One idea I have for this is after Twi hears that Cadence is dead, she cries her HEART ❤️ out and almost considers ending it all....but then she realizes there is still something she can do. She can give up her magic to Cadence so that she’ll live again and Twi will have done something selfless in the end for her foal sitter to live with her magic as well as her own. “Cadence? I....I’m gonna give you something as a gift 🎁 from me....i-it’s my magic....I know that it will...kill me.........but that’s okay.....I want you to live, I cannot bear the shame and devastation that has been brought upon us all here today.....this will make everything better I promise, tell everypony I’m sorry”.
If this au were to continue, I think Twilight would have major trust issues with her friends but not as much for Celestia, but would probably try to study under Luna. Shining Armor would most likely quit the guards. The Crystal Empire events would play out similarly with Celestia asking Shining and Twilight to go. I would Have Shining go to prevent another Tragedy like the wedding. Luna would most likely go to help keep the shield up with Shining. The entire time, there would probably be the time for Twilight and her friends to regain each other's trust and beat Sombra in the same way with probaly Shining throwing Luna at the crystal heart and not Cadence. After that, it would be hard to say
I’ll confess that the episodes left such a bad taste in my mouth that I really began to dislike the show. And the same issues I had with Canterlot Wedding continue throughout the series. So, yeah, this two-parter kinda ruined the series for me. I’d been on the record and giving end of a similar situation, and people that will drop you like that aren’t worth keeping around.
I bet if this gets a sequel Cadence will appear as a ghost comforting Twilight and telling her what happened was not her fault and no matter what happens Cadence will tell Twilight she will always love her

The Royal Judge Minister, a sly and power-hungry pony, saw an opportunity. He sent two of his large but dimwitted henchmen to follow Shining Armor, ensuring he failed in his quest. That night, Cadence wandered the halls of the palace, hoping Shining Armor would find Twilight and bring her back. She encountered the Minister dining alone. Inviting her to join him, he confessed his desire to marry her and become king. Cadence, loyal to Shining Armor, refused. Enraged, the Minister used a hypnotic spell to force Cadence to marry him. Chapter 4: The Search Begins The following day, Shining Armor ran into Twilight’s friends, who were also searching for her. They were soon captured by the Minister’s bumbling guards. Meanwhile, Celestia, unaware of Cadence’s hypnosis, asked if she truly wanted to marry the Minister. Under the spell, Cadence agreed to marry him immediately. Chapter 5: A Sister’s Return As Shining Armor and the Mane 5 languished in their cell, a familiar figure appeared to rescue them: Twilight Sparkle. Reunited, they embraced, expressing deep apologies and explaining the Minister’s evil plan. One of the idiotic guards, feeling remorse, revealed the Minister’s scheme. Twilight, Shining Armor, and their friends rushed back to Canterlot to stop the wedding. Chapter 6: Showdown at the Wedding Celestia was about to pronounce Cadence and the Minister husband and wife when Shining Armor, Twilight, and the others burst into the hall. Shining Armor exposed the Minister’s treachery, revealing his plot to marry Cadence only to become king. The Minister demanded proof, but his two henchmen arrived late and inadvertently confessed everything in front of everypony. A fierce battle erupted between Shining Armor and the Minister. Despite being nearly defeated, Shining Armor’s anger flared when the Minister threatened Twilight. With a surge of strength, he pushed the Minister off the platform, sending him into the water below, where royal guards quickly surrounded and arrested him and his henchmen. Chapter 7: Harmony Restored With the Minister defeated and Twilight safe, Canterlot rejoiced. Everypony apologized to Twilight for not believing her. Shining Armor and Cadence, their love stronger than ever, were finally married in a heartfelt ceremony with Twilight proudly standing as the best mare. Harmony was restored to Canterlot. Friendship and family bonds were renewed, ensuring a brighter and more united future for all.
I have canterlot wedding story idea after the changlings are away twilight is mad at everypony for abandon her she run away and cry cadence found out about everything why twilight so upset and will not marry shining armor and look for twilight everypony worried that twilight will never forgive for what they done meanwhile away from canterlot cadence found twilight near a river and twilight fell in the river cadence fly fast as she can to save twilight but the river too fast and pull twilight away from cadence twilight trying to keep her head up the mane 5 came to save twilight and they better hurry because twilight is heading to a waterfall then shining armor dive in and save his sister he got hot her twilight hold shining on his shoulder he caught a rope from applejack to pull out the river for safety everypony glad twilights okay and they are truly sorry for what they done to her but shining mostly sorry for how he treated her cadence thought what shining armor did was very brave to save his sister back at the canterlot celestia ran and hug twilight for truly how sorry she is and thought to herself she never forgive herself for losing her faithful student twilight forgive everypony and wedding continues
I don't like the episode canterlot wedding I don't anypony treat twilight mean they never say they were sorry except apple jack the only pony that apologize to twilight
