This is a fantastic interview! Pooja Bhatt carried herself so well. Man her family life really messed her up. She tried to save herself with marriage- wanted six kids, but couldn’t have any…how time flies.
If not for Kjo Alia would be no where not even TV serials. I mean her acting is extremely mediocre she lacks versatility. Don’t bring up gangubai. She didn’t suit that role but it was Sanjay leela Bhansali’s contribution. Pooja Bhatt was more natural, talented and versatile. Dil hain ki manta nahin is my favorite performance of her

I loved how the presenter carried the interview. She had more poise, intelligence and charm than Pooja Bhatt. No current Indian presenter can match this lady, who is she?

@@arpanlimbu7517Probably you need to upgrade your research a bit. Pooja herself was one big Karan Johar of her time. I think Karan, Ekta, Pooja once covered 60-70% of movie making, they were real movie mafias. Their language spurted arrogance, their behavior towards struggling crew suggested fascism and attitude towards their followers was very ungrateful. Today Pooja and Karan paid the price of their undoings, while Ekta has lost her relevance on tv, cuz tv itself has lost good content. They had their party and are now in queue for dinner
She was talented and super cute, she had such a good fashion sense too, , but she wasn't as ambitious and driven like Alia . And yes no Karan Johar. But mostly it all comes down to her drive and ambition.
Untill today I never knew she's that amazing with sheer confidence and clarity in her cultivation of thoughts. Even today also.... noone can match her level. She was way too ahead of her times.
I am in awe with 90's and 20's actresses though I am a GenZ! Everybody has their own signature style and a unique personality unlike today where every actress look the same, talk the same with no personality...! Earlier actresses made us curious to adapt a element of their style and personality...!Nowadays you can't even watch today's stars single interview fully...!

I don't understand why Alia is so hyped in the Bhatt family and the industry while there is a more talented, beautiful, intelligent and articulate girl in the Bhatt family - Pooja Bhatt. This lady is just very impressive - be it her fashion sense, gift of gab, personality and you name it. Alia can never even dream of touching Pooja. I think Alia has only managed to reach the top in Bollywood due to her godfather Karan Johar over hyping her in the press and media and mentioning her in every episode of Koffee with Karan. Otherwise, no one would have even noticed Alia. Alia is just an average looking girl with average talent and a very irritating personality. she can't hold her own in an interview like this.
Yes but somewhere in the early 2000s, Pooja Bhatt went from beautiful to SCARY looking. It was primarily her eyes which kept getting larger. She's been looking a little more human off late.
We didn’t have 20000 channels and social media back then but we had class. Pooja was indeed very beautiful and talented but her personal life and her alcoholism ruined her career. Anyone who doubts her talent should watch the movie Zakham where she portrayed the role of her grandmother. I don’t like her wokeism but she was more talented than her overrated stepsister Alia Bhatt.
I regularly bring up her example when people abroad stereotype Indian woman. Nowadays thanks to google all my white friends r quick to point out her mother was British and that her genes r not purely Indian. I hope more Indian woman look like pooja bhatt
Few himachali or even girls in the other pahadi states have this kind of look. But bollywood , tv people have always been obsessed with typical Punjabi/North Indian beauties like karisma, Kareena or tall model type like Deepika, nowadays so many actresses all end up looking similar to each other. I also think Pooja Bhatt looked unique, her type of face not often seen on tv.
@MaryK02 along with a confident face she has excellent attitude. It comes across in her body language as extreme sexiness. Unfortunately this is genetic and is passed down from our ancestors. Excellent genes she got from her mother.

Most of you idiots are biased by nostalgia. I liked Pooja back in the day (I was a small kid back then) but accept it, her acting was good but limited in range. Her dance skills were non existent. She was quite beautiful in a non conventional way. Alia is a far better talent with great dancing skills, good comic timing and great emotional range when it comes to dramatic roles. It’s a trend nowadays to bash anything new when compared to older days.
I was getting carried away by the nostalgia and then your comment knocked some sense in me! You’re right. However…the actresses of this era conducted themselves better in interviews, and seemed way more articulate and intelligent.
That accent and style has left the era back in time .. even salman used to speak fluent English here it is.. jaisa des wesa bhais.. mother tongue aur apni asli accent m aana he parta hain .. perhaps everything comes naturally
Such a beauty she is back then, massively talented. An holywood class actress. Her movies are so pleasure to watch. "Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi", "For Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi" etc and few others still my favourite. And who Aliya Bhat? the brat who doesn't know the name of PM or President of our nation? Never seen her any movie in life.
Interviewer is very fluent in both English and Hindi and speaks both elegantly. Too bad Pooja being a Hindi film actress cannot converse in Hindi. Aishwarya Rai, being a South Indian speaks elegant Hindi.
