I'm afraid this type of product was potentially responsible for the collapse of the Miami Champlain South condo tower, due to the added weight on the pool deck which it was not designed for. I believe that sometime around 2004, a similar product was inadvisably added onto the pool deck which was also the roof of the parking garage below. Punch-thru failure of that deck pulled down half of the building with it, killing around 100. In addition to the added weight, the original concrete deck was designed with appropriate drainage. Given reports, it seems likely that the pool overlay also affected rainwater drainage from the large deck in a negative way, and degrading concrete and rebar. Of course this was a "freak occurrence", but it is important to note that these paver systems have significant weight, which must be taken into account with any given application, particularly where the surface is suspended above ground.

I have a pool deck that has cool deck with traditional coping this block would look great once the cool deck was scraped up you could lay this down bing 1 3/16 inch thick it would cover nicely, any more info on the block?
