This is a decent video with good detail but what about the expansion joint between the deck and coping? Is there a reason you left that out? I was particularly interested in how to form that without fastener contact to the coping. I also agree with one of the other commenters about getting the rebar off the ground but give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it was pulled up while being poured.
Thank you for the feedback We pick rebar as we pour. We normally use rebar chairs but we run out Also this is the South area We don’t have a dramatic movement. No problems at all
Hi Eddie, we couldn’t schedule pump on this one, was one of those days that we were trying to pour before rain. Pumps in my area are expensive anyways, we try not to use it unless is a total necessity.
@@GRUBB-MUDD should go tell that to the guy from west coast custom concrete , he goes on and on about his pump and that no one is as good as he is because of his pump and bla bla bla....real egotistical fella
On pool decks pumps r nice, but on flat work, you can't keep up w a buggy w a 2 inch line pump 2.5 doesn't matter, but on pool decks, pumps r nice, no room to dump
I won’t hire this guys this is why #1 no thickened edge #2 no sub-base compaction #3 no support under the rebar or pulling it up this is my honest opinion but clients deserves quality for their money not just the surface finish
What is the proper way of pouring a concrete pool deck? Looking to hire someone but I usually see them pout the concrete straight on top of the ground with no rebar or anything. Is this wrong?
DO NOT DO WHAT THESE GUYS HAVE DONE. it will crack the steel is not supposed to be sitting on the ground and the coping tile MUST have expansion. DO NOT DO THIS. clowns
