Pool Lesson | How to Shoot Every Ball - Step by Step 

I've been playing for 24 years, but I still enjoy videos like this because the basics are what matters most. Everybody can use a reminder from time to time.

I constantly refer to tutorial videos on U- TUBE playing in a pool league and for open matches an AP5 level. Really like your tone and the thorough instruction you provide so will be sure to look in more and subscribe. It seems common sense but that is part of my game that was missing until recently was visualising the shot, not only position but envisaging the object ball going in mentally. Keep up the good work

Hey, Sharivari. Just wanted to thank you for your videos. I'm between a 5 and 6 in my league and just kind of plateaued in the last few years, not knowing how to get to a solid 6 or even to a 6-7 and take on the top players. Your vids really helped me work on my basics and improve. Particularly, how to better prepare for a shot like in this video. But more importantly, I realized from your go-pro the power of the stun shot and where to visualize the ghost ball!!! These are things I stopped questioning since I was a novice player. No more rattles and I know exactly where my cue ball is going instead of guesstimating. Much appreciated. 🎉

I've watched hundreds of pool videos. This is BY FAR the best at showing and explaining what should go into every shot. If you watch great players, you can see they all do these steps, or most of them, before each shot. Thank you so much!

My compliment is that the last part where you explained the unimportance in hitting the ball with slight english, you were true to the fact that it’s just (maybe fun to do sometimes?) and that you’re not egotistical with your skills. like yeah man, idk why i did that but it worked. btw, i screenshotted the analysis towards the end with each step by step guide. Then I wached this video and i realised that I shooting in a totally different way then I need to. This video is changed my mindset totally in a positive way. I am playing as an amateur at the moment and these tips have helped me a lot on my shot making and where I leave the que ball but I need help with breaking out of defensive positions that I am commonly left with on the table, is there any advice you may have?

Thank you for this video♥️ Also 7:51 when your going for the 8 ball it reminds of guns and how the pool stick is the pin, the cue ball is bullet cartridge. When the cue ball goes to the side it’s like the shell exiting the gun😂

When ever I play pool I don’t play for months so when I return it’s like starting all over again not knowing how to even hit the ball

Oh my what a high level of video production and pool skill! I'm a beginner and would've hit the 8-ball to the left to put it in pocket, seeing that there is another way blows my mind!

You don't necessarily have to do everything exactly like I do. But what's important, is that you have a routine that you do on every shot. A reliable and repeatable shot preparation and routine is the key to become a more consistent player.

Before step 3, I would really go and look at the 7 and then determine the correct spot to land on the 7 to get to the 8. Angles look different when you look at them sideways, always better to look at the next ball if you have to play precise position.

I just joined my FIRST pool League. I have always only played for fun and am nopro by any means. I like seeing the pre shot routine explained and the point of contact on the cue ball, for me an average shooter that has hard time controlling the cue ball. Very informative

hello shariviari. thanks for your great videos. I don't think that if the cue jumps at the end is a problem. I am not sure if you understand what i mean. If the last position of the cue is parallel to the table, then this happens. I also saw this with several snooker players like o sullivan and lisowski for example. I would also like to know your opinion about the cue being parallel to the table ( at the end of the stroke) I think with this , the ball slide perfectly on the table ( which means no small jumps the white ball or something like that). I found during my experience that the ball slides nicely when the cue is parallel at the end. It*s a nice feeling i think :)
