🤣🤣🤣🤣Thanks man. I'm a huge John Carpenter fan and 'They Live' definately cracks my top 5 for him. Its also my silent shout out to what seems to be happening lately in the world! It's a jungle out there! Thanks for watching.

Yes always better to play patterns where balls lay but in this situation with 3 balls left on the table as long as you can stay a little high on the 8 ball to have an angle it really doesn't matter where the 9 goes as long as you aren't blasting in where it could get in the way of the cue ball and the 8 or end up creating an off angle combo. And honestly it be hard to mishit the 9 in such a way to create problems. I'd probably target a diamond below the side pocket with the cue ball. And I wouldn't go into it hard. But the main reason I'd do this is because it's easier to get good on the 8 this way because position area is bigger than going to the corner

For sure this was a simplistic example of when a player has to make a decision between two pockets. You're right about the 9 mostlilely not being a worry if you contact it. However it's the premise here that I'm trying to get across. If you don't have to move things you shouldn't. In the long run it's just safer IMO. That's basically one of the big things I was trying to get across. Your point about the shape area being bigger on the side shot is well taken though. Great point! 👍

@@HereAfterBilliards ya I mainly was saying as long as you leave a good angle on the 8 you can get away with a lot more at the end of racks than the beginning of them. With no traffic and an angle you should be e able to get anywhere on the table. And if you can't you need to work on that before trying to compete. Angles are everything in run out pool

@@jasonsanders9054 Yup. Totally agree. That's why I always say play shape for shape...not for a ball.
