I can only imagine the kiddos screaming in the swimming pool as they have their time of their lives and I get aggravated 😅 I’d have to spend it inside with the door to the balcony and windows shot.
Hello! There are actually very few to no kids that we’ve seen all the times we’ve been there. Usually there is no one in the pool at all. We do understand the desire for peace and quiet! Just saw you put up this one, funny as it's where I rented a T2. 😅 . No, I wouldn't buy it for that price. You can find similar for around 210K Euro .... I think the prices will go down eventually when market will slow down due to Portugal less attractiveness to some foreigners'.. i.e. Tax changes, Golden Visa gone, etc'.

T1 for $210K is achievable not far from there.. my point is in the future...The construction is like you mentioned on another video is ALL OVER, and if you are retired and stay in quite a bit you will need to close all doors to block some noise. Yet again, it reminds me a bot of Hong Kong , tiny area with High rise buildings , and price goes to the roof. So it's possible it will be steady or go up, unless new Government rules will force people to rid of their properties due to higher taxes, or all kind of other limitations, i.e. in Mainland you cannot have the Apt. empty ...a rule that might not stand in courts.

Looks nice and thank you for the video. My opinion is that the balcony seems unfortunately quite tiny for a country where living outside should be a plus. And yes 325,000 Euros for living inside your place is a bit pricy. The pool is a plus of course. Price per m2 is around 4,600 euros with this property, may be not cheap as you indicated. I appreciate your videos and watch you regularly. I never visited Madeira yet, as I am still active in Japan, but I plan to retire in a year from now between Asia and Europe. So anything you share is usefull.

Nice little place. Lidl has planning permission to open a store next to that park on the left side going up.This will get a lot more footfall and traffic to the area.

Nice video showcasing a property in São Martino! Very thorough views of the street, the building and condo. The place is very well appointed, especially the kitchen appliances, with that larger fridge. And was that a clothes dryer I saw also? I believe that shower door was designed to open inward to keep water drips inside the shower area. Nicely designed to keep the floor dryer, but not as intuitive to operate. 🤣 Thanks Doug & Monique for sharing this property. It gives viewers an idea of a condo option at that price point. Personally, I don't think I'd buy it. The little balcony overlooking the pool area would be nice for a vacation stay, but not to own that view day after day, year after year.
Hello Chris and Carol! Ha ha no kidding the shower is not intuitive! 😆 Ha ha but yes, makes perfect sense and it is a clothes dryer! We do know what you mean about the small balcony, if you were thinking of on the daily for many years to come. We would be ok with it , without a dog and only knowing we would be travelling for part of the year. Otherwise like you say, for a couple weeks on a vacation would be fine. It is nice inside, but too much for that view and size imo. I liked visiting that area, but to me it felt a bit like a sea of large condo complexes and lacked some of the character of other areas around Funchal/Madeira.

I Rented an Apartment at the Gray building beside it... Like the place. I believe the T2 I live in was purchased for 380K Euro... the only draw back as was mentioned on prior video with "Track Us Down !" is that construction goes on here quite a bit , and can be a problem for some because of the noise... closing the double sided windows doors help a lot ....

Hi guys, I completely agree with your comments on this apartment. Is perfect for the right person. Prices are not cheap anymore there due of demand. As a dog owner I'm always thinking in terms of "Where can I walk her?, Is there a park where I can let her run? Can I take the public transportation? Hello!! I’m not sure what the cost would be if it was put on the market to rent. If you saw our apartment tour video - we were paying 1100€ for a T2, but not as nice as this T1+1, no pool. Since then our apartment has gone up for rent hundreds of euros higher. So my guess would be 1700€ or 1800€ maybe? As of now it’s for sale not for rent. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers!
